OPEN to ALL!
WHO: Magnar Maximoff and OPEN to ALL who are not at the Park. WHERE: Lunchroom WHEN: Lunchtime, Friday WHAT: Watching the news of the battle
A large television was set up in the cafeteria with the news on. FOXNEWS was showing continuous broadcast of the situation in the park. Magnar got in the lunch line, getting his meal, which he made sure to make a disgusted face when he received it. He asked if he could get extra tater tots to make up for the disgusting-looking pizzaburger, and was given a glare and a flat out NO. He carried his tray to the part of the room where the TV was, which was already heavily occupied by students wanting to know what was going on. Setting his meal down at an empty seat, Magnar pulled out the chair and sat down. He couldn't tell what was going on, except for seeing a harried-looking newsanchor filming from inside the Park but seemingly at a distance from where all the action was.
"Anyone die yet?", he piped up over the low murmur of other students and the tinny voice of the anchor. A few more glares were sent his way, this time by students. Why were people always glaring at him? "I'll take that as a 'no'. Boooooring." Whatever happened to the days when there was death, destruction, and chaos on a major scale. Not that he wanted wanted that, but it would make for more interesting television.
There was a sudden on-screen ruckus as a very pissed-off looking pachyderm began charging toward the reporter. A few unedited expletives left his mouth as he dove for cover and the elephant could be seen at an extreme closeup right before that live feed ended. There was a moment of dead air before the scene changed to a newsroom, the reporters at the desk beginning a commentary on what they'd just seen, promising to get live feed again as soon as possible. "Now that's more interesting", Magnar said to himself, tossing a tater tot into his mouth.
