HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL COMMITTEE
So I've talked to several places and have ideas I'll run by you.
For the Family Centered day when we're planning on having Quidditch and flight games I'm thinking the only alcohol should be some beer so we don't have drunken Quidditch or anything. Roast & Pour were interested in maybe having a booth where people could purchase Salted Caramel Apple Cider, fall tea blends, and various holiday coffee drinks.
Since it'll be kids and families for the most part the food should be easy and family friendly. A food tent with buffet style fare. One of the places I spoke with can provide vegan/gluten free falafel for vegetarians/vegans/allergy prone individuals, as well as gyros in both chicken and lamb and fish and chips (yes Devona, that's pub food but there's kids and they like it).
For the second night that's not the formal event or the family event there should def be a larger alcohol selection since no one is flying around and there's less small kids. That's when we can have more of the "fun" themed food. Since people will be walking around I'm thinking more carnival type feel with foods on sticks or easy to carry. Mummy corn dogs, caramel apples, bags of themed popcorn, white chocolate dipped banana ghosts, customizable monster tacos (so they can be vegan depending on ingredients chosen), etc. The Dine-n-Dash food truck has also expressed interest in appearing for this.
Drink wise we can use Roast & Pour for a cider/coffee/tea booth as well as having an alcohol centered booth with a selection of fall specialty craft beers and ciders, mulled wine, and a premade themed cocktail (I'm thinking something easy to make ahead and serve quickly like a Poison Apple Punch and Vampire Blood Rum Punch).
For the final night you guys voted for some formal thing but whatever, I worked with it. I've talked to some catering companies and stayed away from spooky themed food in favor of fall themed food. Something like tiny butternut squash soups with sage popcorn, figs with creme fraiche and walnuts, carmalized onion cranberry swiss tartlets, etc. Fancy shits.
Then there'll be wine (I'll have some samples once I talk to a couple vendors I met at Bacchus), champagne, various liquors and a couple themed cocktails. I'm thinking a "ghost" cocktail (basically a white cosmo - so it's totally clear - with dry ice so it looks like it's smoking) and a less sweet, darker one called a Sleepy Hollow.
Anyways I have the contact information for whoever wants to look over them?Reasonable enough for you Tessa

Narcissa is claiming MILF will hire Muggleborns if they apply.
Anyone feel like testing that theory?
