Macdonald case update: Frank and I interrogated Sidebottom & Montague yesterday. They're claiming they were acting under the Imperius, which is an obvious tactic, but I think they're telling the truth. Neither of them have very strong purist views - though Montague is a bit elitist. Sidebottom's wife left him for a Muggle but given the rest of the evidence it doesn't seem like a strong enough motivator for an attack like this.

I'm giving myself until the 20th and then I'm withdrawing my Creagslist roommate ads. They've been getting stranger as it gets closer to Halloween - just this morning someone sent me a response in the shape of a bat, and the writer swore up and down they weren't a vampire but they also had a "strict diet" and kept "odd hours"...
