Hi! I'm Chantal and I'm happy to join FTH. I already know some of you and I look forward to meeting the others. I bring Sloane Vaisey:

• She's Dylan Selwyn's sister.
  
• She's 31 and she was a Slytherin in 1959-66, so she was in the same year as Amelia Bones (hi Jess!) and Morgan MacDougal, and just a year ahead of Lucia Nott.
  
• She's a WWN news anchor, currently working the late nights and weekend editions, but she’s ambitious and has every intention of getting promoted to primetime.
  
• She's a purist through and through, and while she's careful to appear unbiased in order to protect her credibility as a news anchor, it still influences what choices she makes when it comes to what news to report, or what importance to give it, etc. I look forward to interaction with the other WWN staff!
  
• She's married to Giles Vaisey, a Death Eater the same age as her brother. (He's open to be picked up...)
  
• She has trouble conceiving a child and it has caused tension in her marriage. She takes it very hard, feeling it's a personal failure as a wife and as a pureblood woman.
  
• She's opinionated and cynical, for she's seen too much, working in a news room for over a decade, to believe in people's promises anymore - especially the Ministry's.
  
• She loves Herbology, flying, the Appleby Arrows...

That got quite long, didn't it? I can't seem to keep intro post short, LOL. There's more in her bio, of course.

As for me, I'm a 33 year old librarian with an addiction for RPing. English isn't my first language (it's French), so please do point out to me any error I make, for I fully intend to get always better and the best way to learn is to know what mistakes you make. If you need any help with French for a character, don't hesitate to ping me; I'll always be happy to help!

HI EVERYONE. It's Laura... again. Luckily this is my last character for a while. :D

So here we have... Pansy's mum! :D Her name is Portia Parkinson, and she's Lucia Nott's younger sister, and they were Flints before they got married and they have a brother named Adair (in case anyone wants to pick him up? ;D) who has a son named Marcus. Portia's 25, was in Slytherin from 1965-1972 and was a Prefect! Got married a few years after Hogwarts to Silas Parkinson, who's a few years older than she is (again, would love to have him!). Was raised in v proper and decently wealthy household, was the youngest of 3 and always felt sort of ignored/unwanted so she was pretty moody and manipulative as a child and teen, so I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't like her because of something that happened at Hogwarts. :D However, she's learned a lot since then and would be much more controlled in public about her opinions. Definitely a purist and very much into tradition, though she tries to keep her opinions to herself a lot of the time... but it shouldn't be hard for anyone to guess where her family stands, and that's where she does as well. She has a young son named Phineas, and another child on the way (due in February, so she's far enough along now that friends would be aware). She has lots of connections and would be well-known for being rather frivolous and girly, and some people might think she's dumb as a brick. :D She'll be polite, but probably reserved, with a lot of people!

Hello everyone! I'm Kaitlin, and I'm joining FTH to bring you the intrepid, sarcastic, Felicity Banges! She's the girl behind the counter at Dervish & Banges, doling out equal parts observation and sarcastic insight, who loves the store but definitely doesn't want to work there for the rest of her life. She's a Ministry supporter who really doesn't know about the Order (yet?) who was a Gryffindor from 1966-1973. She loves her family, but most of all her adorable new niece who is much, much cuter than her bratty (and beloved) sister Addie. So, friends/enemies/acquaintances? I'm open for any kind of past history--ex-boyfriends, ex-dueling partners, frequent customers!

About me...I'm 23 years old, and I currently reside in Southern Morocco, where I'm working as a volunteer for the Peace Corps. I am trying very hard not to speak Berber online, but it is difficult because I speak it here all day every day. I teach children how to wash their hands and women how to use birth control, and it's always an adventure. I'm on GMT. I listen to/obsess about music and I'm doing my first NaNoWriMo next month...god help me. I just got back from a six-month RP hiatus, so please forgive me if I'm a bit rusty at first.

Alright, guys! We're down to three weeks, so we wanna finish getting everything set up so that everybody can get their battle logs done.

So! If you haven't already, head on over to this post and comment with whichever characters are going to be involved in the battle. You have until SUNDAY NIGHT (central time) to comment, at which point your lovely modlies will start matching you up for battle.

The timeline of the night has changed slightly, so swing by the gdoc to check it out. Because of the new timeline, though, we're going to have everybody only fighting one battle, so don't worry about that question of "how many."
