Madam Robins and Headmaster Dippet were not at dinner time. Mid-meal, Professor Hopkins got to the front to make an announcement in her usual, clipping voice.

"Attention, students. There has been a great deal of flurry over Miss McGregor's state. Rest assured that she is not, as rumor would have it, dead. She is suffering from Calculus Corpus, which is a spell that wears off somewhere around ten days. There is no cause for worry."

Privately, she met with Millicent and asked her to be in charge of seeing that Grizel had all her coursework when she woke up.

[Who]: Seventh Year Ravenclaws, Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs + Gigi, and sixth years that were invited as well (of those three houses!) basically if you want to come show up!
[What]: Snogging Games because they're going to be grown ups soon and why not.
[Where]: A presumably abandoned classroom off the Charms Corridor, which contains a convenient Professor's office for Seven Minutes in Heaven

WHO: The Inner Circle
WHEN: 31 January 1943, past curfew.
WHERE: Second floor girls' bathroom, then the CHAMBER OF SECRETS.
WHAT: Being shits. Soundtrack.

Just as Potions ended, each of the Inner Circle members would have discovered a piece of parchment on top of their notes. In Tom's writing, it said:

If you wish to enter the Chamber: 10:15 PM, second floor girls' bathroom. Disillusion yourselves.

After they had left the classroom and read it twice, the note dissolved into a puff of smoke. Sucks for you if you forgot what it said!

At the appointed time, Tom was waiting in the bathroom. Because he waited for everyone to arrive, he was lurking, Disillusioned, in a corner. Because he was nearly invisible, he probably gave them all a bit of a fright when he seemed to appear out of nowhere. But that's What Tom Does.

After this, he Opened the Chamber, so that the sink in Myrtle's bathroom opened into a tunnel. This required speaking Parseltongue, which the IC has seen him do before, but without a snake, probably sounds very creepy. Tom floated lazily down the tunnel, but the other boys could have slid down if they preferred to take Hogwarts' biggest, dirtiest slippy slide.

At the bottom, Tom had cleaned up most of the bones littering the Chamber, though already they were beginning to accumulate again. He made the IC wait in the antechamber while he told the basilisk to keep her eyes closed, as he had friends here and some of them could be rather dim.

Then, he let them into the great cavern with the statue of Slytherin and the giant snake, and they, IDK, frolicked and tried Cruciating some mice running around.

Detention is pretty gross tonight: sifting through crates of flobberworms and separating the dead from the living. Pringle is supervising though the quieter the students are he doesn't really notice. They're there for about 2 hours and then expected to run back to their dorms without much issue.

Of course...things are a little tense, So they muck through the slime and try as hard as they can to not vomit or kill one another. Any disruptive behavior will earn them a second detention.

Myles, though not a violent person, was not about to let Lancelot Mulciber's acts against Grizel go unpunished. He'd spent the night practicing his plans, only to be foiled at breakfast by the new (and, he had to admit, overdue) rule about keeping wands away at mealtime. He didn't get a good view of Lancelot Mulciber at lunch, either, so he had to wait yet again. This, however, gave him time to figure out some timing for his spell.

He made excuses and made sure someone went with Grizel to supper, so he could get to the Great Hall early and lie in wait, as unobtrusive as he could make himself. When Lance turned the corner to go into the Hall for supper, Myles hit him with a spell. It wouldn't have done much at first, but over the next few minutes, Lance grew a lovely, buxom set of breasts all his own.



Myles had a really hard time hiding his laughter. He doesn't even care if he gets caught.

So tonight at dinner, Graeme and Sebastian FINALLY realised their dream and managed to explode two serving bowls of soup at the Slytherin table. Neither of them were terribly subtle about it and they were both were caught. Slytherins, did you get splattered with soup? Who else saw?

Since today's meeting is only an hour and it's their first, Mairead thought it'd be a good idea to perfect their Shield Charms today. She transfigured some rocks into yarn balls for them to throw at one another's shields to taste the strength of them. At about the half-hour point she transfigured them back into rocks and started tossing them instead. Once it was ten 'til five, she stopped them and asked them if there was anything any of them wanted to go over next week, suggesting that she thought it might be a good idea to go over Disarming Charms. Professor Merrythought oversaw the whole thing!

More IC Troublemaking Time!! (also getting this up before I have to leave for the night!)

Determined to redeem himself after the fight with Graeme, Lance spent a lot of extra time this week practicing the imperius on various cats around the common room, because he wanted to make sure he could handle it on a person for at least a few seconds by time Friday rolled around.

After classes and just before lunch as everyone was heading towards the Great Hall for food, Lance spotted Lizzy Hale, muggleborn extraordinaire and creator of That Damned List. He managed to cast the Imperius curse on her for a few moments while she was on one of the moving staircases, and had her trip herself face first down the steps. (Emily can decide how hurt she ended up!)

As soon as she started tumbling down the stairs Lance let the spell drop and kept moving into the Great Hall for lunch. A growing lad's gotta eat! (and not stick around the scene of the crime.)

Today at lunch, close to the beginning of the meal when things are a bit crowded and confused, Dieter walked by the Ravenclaw table to give Araminta a hug. Then he walked away and sat down among his Slytherin posse and -- having sussed out a good trajectory -- silently cast a Skin Shredding Hex on Grizel McGregor.

Skin Shredding is exactly what it says on the tin, and the longer its held the worse it gets. Dieter holds focus (probably in the region of Grizel's back/neck) until Professor Flitwick runs down and removes Grizel from the hall to take her to the hospital wing.

Wroow Wroow Wroow! It's another air raid drill. And, wouldn't you know it, it's starting at 9 o'clock, when people are in the midst of fun time or finishing their homework--or dressed for bed! Everyone gets to stay up after curfew because they are made to be in their respective drill stations (Gryffindor in Slytherin and Ravenclaw in Hufflepuff) for two hours. Hopefully you weren't already in your pajamas and bathrobe! Anyone not wearing modest attire will have a robe transfigured for them by a prefect or Head Boy and Girl.

In Slytherin, Druella's cat Artemisia Luftkin attacked ESTELLE. Owch! Not only that, but a first year Gryffindor shoved against the glass that shows the lake start screaming that the glass was breaking causing a momentary panic. Edited to add: There was also a 'cake' that was inedible, made with pine cones, for anyone who wanted to try eating it.

In Hufflepuff, when Muffy sees MYLES and MYRTLE looking down in the dumps, she performs a cheering charms on MYLES and MYRTLE who enthusiastically perform a song and dance for everyone.
