WHO: Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Quidditch Teams and anyone who wants to react!
WHERE: Quidditch Pitch
WHEN: Saturday morning
WHAT: Quidditch Match!
STATUS/RATING: Narrative; ooc/ic reactions / PG-13
Everyone was excited about the game, it'd been talked about all week. As the Ravenclaw team walked onto the field they were greeted with great cheers. The same went for the Gryffindor team. Everyone mounted on their brooms, the balls were released, and the referee blew the whistle and the game began. It was a day for Chasers, it seemed, with goals being cast one after another. Chaser Olwen Dearborn almost fell off her broom when beater Samuel Abbott struck a bludger right at her. In response, Reuben Longbottom started bludgeoning the bludgers in his direction, and got one shot right at himself, hitting him and splitting his head open. Bilius Weasley was called in as the reserve to play beater for Reuben, who had to go to the hospital wing. The score was 70 to 60, with Ravenclaw in the lead when Seeker Sebastian Black saw the snitch! He went rushing toward it, with Seeker Mieczyslaw following his lead and the two of them zoomed toward the ground and almost collided before the snitch moved away and got lost in the air once again. The score moved higher, with the points rapidly climbing. Soon it was 130 to 130. Algernon Selwyn cobbed (used his elbows on) Matthew Brown, earning a penalty. Matthew Brown got the goal, pulling Ravenclaw up and winning once more. The points continued to grow until it was 170 to 190, with Gryffindor now finding the lead. But it all came down to the snitch, and as the game was now in it's third hour, it was evident that Mieczyslaw and Sebastian were nearly frantic to find the winged ball. And then -- could it be true? Perhaps the death threats were what did it, but suddenly the snitch appeared by Sebastian's head and, just before Mieczyslaw could get within reaching distance of it, Sebastian had grabbed the snitch and with it, Gryffindor's victory!
