Madam Robins and Headmaster Dippet were not at dinner time. Mid-meal, Professor Hopkins got to the front to make an announcement in her usual, clipping voice.

"Attention, students. There has been a great deal of flurry over Miss McGregor's state. Rest assured that she is not, as rumor would have it, dead. She is suffering from Calculus Corpus, which is a spell that wears off somewhere around ten days. There is no cause for worry."

Privately, she met with Millicent and asked her to be in charge of seeing that Grizel had all her coursework when she woke up.

At lunch time, Professor Stonem announced that they will be holding a Christmas Nativity play, and that she will be running it instead of Professor Beery, although he'll be assisting (they exchange sweet smiles up on the head table).

She says that this one will be much more under control than the last one. She doesn't need to tell the students that it ended up a bit of a mess, with a number of things having gone wrong.

What professor Stonem DOESN'T say is that this play will be done 100% Muggle (except for lighting). No Magic. They will find out after the play is cast. So it's an excellent way to get your characters into an uncomfortable position.

For conversation's sake, we can "cast" the previous play's cast (1940). If you did not claim a spot on the pcal, you can claim one of these for your characters.

Joseph - VOLUNTEER (fell asleep)
Wise Man 1 - Alphard (forgot his lines)
Wise Man 2 - Julian (spoke oddly out of nerves)
Wise Man 3 - Evander (did a good job)
Shepherd 1 - Gilbert (hit someone with their staff)
Shepherd 2 - Myrtle (cried over being cast as a boy)
Angel 1 - Millicent (hit too high of a note.)
Angel 2 - VOLUNTEER (did a bad job overall)
Angel 3 - Helena (magical costume started to disintegrate before Berry kicked her off stage)
Donkey - Student who has left school
Sheep - Minerva (was hit by the staff)
Cow - Hagrid (ran wild on the stage) dragging Lance (the cow's butt) along with him.

Auditions are on the fourth! Every character who auditions earns three house points!
