Empire Ants

The third of five sets I made of the Brazilian Instagram model Mia Alves. This particular set is sourced directly from her Instagram account. The youngest she may be in these is 19 based on when she created her account, but the vast majority are in her 20s so I'm not dual tagging age.

This set contains short haired icons.

I tried, I survived for so long... and then I lost all my mental energy and just rushed through the home stretch to be able to call this done. Not to say I didn't put in an effort, but you can tell I stopped being as picky about colour correction and lighting.

Making this massive, four-part set of two thousand and sixty-four icons nearly broke me. At several points, I threw my hands in the air and declared my attempts to fix lighting and colour grading good enough. So just know that I tried until I could not try anymore and suddenly understand why only a select few scenes were iconned by others who tackled this movie.

And here we have the final set, because I couldn't very much leave the movie out, now, could I? I may (or may not; the process is annoying) make more in the future. I'm irked by how little Elektra features in these.

Turns out, some of the icons I made that are just micro-movements apart from one another don't actually look different at such a small size... and I may have potentially forgotten to prune a few screencaps that were very similar. But I do not have the mental energy required to prune and re-save the set, so just pretend it isn't slightly redundant in places.

No colour correction attempts - just a bit of toying around with shades and vibrancy of colours - went into this, because that would defeat the entire purpose of the aesthetic. Also, caps used are from the lovely capseroo whose image sets are an absolute dream to work with. Check 'em out, mkay?

This is by no means a comprehensive set because there are no full screencap compilations available online. Maybe I'll try making my own caps eventually, whenever I acquire a laptop capable of handling two continuous hours autocapping in VLC. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But hey, the world could always use more Cowboy Bebop in it and my recent re-watches (yes, plural) have provided a metric shitton of serotonin. I'm just here to spread the love.

It took longer to upload and post these than it took to make them. And I don't mean I rushed, either; I mean my internet fails life.

Regarding age: I haven't actually seen the show and the wiki just states "late teens to early 20s" for Gunner. Keenan himself was 22 when the first season of Bates Motel aired. Personally, I think he's more teens-passing than half the cast of Riverdale, though, so there's that.
