Empire Ants

I did a thing using the fancified posters I made. Here's one icon for each of the main characters in Roswell, New Mexico because I'm all for sharing the love of this show.

This began with Alex and Michael, whose posters I fancified for journal layouts. (For usage examples, check out alexmanes and mikeguerin.) Then, it branched out into my incessant need to be a completionist and became an entire set of posters/graphics. I almost didn't share them, but I don't have muses for all these characters and there's no sense hoarding the pretties when maybe someone else can get use out of them.

So... here's one poster each for the main characters of Roswell, New Mexico, styled in sort of a paint brush reveal effect - for lack of better explanation. The images are 400x563 and ~500kb each, generally slightly less.

Rainie Yang is one of the first few people I iconned, and I've never been particularly happy with the size or quality of that set. So, since I was already looking her up for other purposes, I decided to save a few more images and make a much better set. I swear I'll get back to the Riverdale requests soon, I just needed a small break.

Banners are included because finding quality pics of her was ridiculously complicated and age tags are an absolute mess because these images cover a range of time points. Overall, I think she passes as an older teen or a twenty-something very easily in all of them.

Look, I just refuse to accept that he's in his 50s now, okay? Wee youthful Keanu will always have a place in my heart - to go along with that place in the pb slot of a new muse.

This is just a random assortment of photoshoots and such labelled as being in the 1980s. The quality varies due to inconsistent sources.

Here's yet another set created for one of my own muses, featuring Keanu Reeves in the 1980s film River's Edge. I'm a sucker for the grungy aesthetic he's got going here and it's especially useful on a Serpent OC.

Excuse the graininess caused by iconning something which predates both HD film and my birth, but I'm quite happy with the results of this endeavour.

I am so perpetually exhausted lately, but I'm trying to crawl my way through the backlog of unfinished icon sets. This one was the easiest to get out of the way, since I didn't do much editing to the colour/lighting. It also marks the final set of Johnny Depp I'll be making and thus my first completed large-scale iconning project. Not sure how I feel about that, but whatevs.

Once again, made for my amazing parabatai~ Now, someone please give me a giant pillow fort to sleep in forever.

For Mandy - the awesome to my sauce, my epic parabatai, the person who was gracious enough to help me prune the amount of screencaps I iconned from this show - I present the fourth and final set of Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street.

This feels like a far bigger accomplishment than it actually is.

Another set made with the Jace to my Alec in mind. This is the third of what will be four sets featuring a much younger Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street. He looks a bit like a Ghoulie (from Riverdale) in some of these, and that really shouldn't amuse me as much as it does.

Please pardon the massively inconsistent sharpness and colouring/lighting; there's only so much a person can do with low-res screencaps before they become a pixelated mess.

This is the second of what will likely be three or four sets of Johnny Depp's role in 21 Jump Street, made for my parabatai. I've had most of this particular set laying on my hard drive since February or so, but attention spans are not my strong point. Maybe it'll take less than three months to get the other sets done. Maybe.

So my laptop's hard drive decided to keel over, and for a while there I thought I'd have to start over. But I managed to get everything onto a new, faster, drive and I'm back in the business of procrastinating sets because effort, eugh. Here's one of what's likely to be three or four sets of young Johnny Depp for my parabatai.
