Empire Ants

Making this massive, four-part set of two thousand and sixty-four icons nearly broke me. At several points, I threw my hands in the air and declared my attempts to fix lighting and colour grading good enough. So just know that I tried until I could not try anymore and suddenly understand why only a select few scenes were iconned by others who tackled this movie.


( Close your eyes. And whatever happens, don't look. )

And here we have part two of my slow descent into madness...


( Take it from me, two minutes in hell is a lifetime. )

This particular batch took an entire week to finish. Here is where my attempts to turn this movie from a dark, blue-green mess into viable icons became whimpering at my computer and finding every possible excuse to do anything else.


( I know I'm not one of your favorites. I'm not even welcome in your house. But, I could use a little attention.  )

I tried, I survived for so long... and then I lost all my mental energy and just rushed through the home stretch to be able to call this done. Not to say I didn't put in an effort, but you can tell I stopped being as picky about colour correction and lighting.
