The night of the Masquerade is here and it is obvious before one even enters that Kingsley’s Event Coordinator has done his job superbly. Once one gets inside to the Ballroom, with adjoining dining room for dining, you are met with neon colors amongst a dimly lit room. Music is playing and there are entertainers in the midst of all the guest performing for the delight of their audience.

Bill shrugged on his jacket, stepping through the main doors to Gringotts and out into the brisk streets. He'd promised Ginny they'd meet for lunch after a brief meeting at Kingsley's party the other night, and he was quite looking forward it. It had been a long morning in the office, and he was dying for a break. It was days like these he missed his work in Egypt.

He found a table for them at one of the new shops that had opened in Diagon Alley since the end of the war. It was slowly starting to come back to life. Flipping absently through the menu, he awaited his youngest sibling.

The ballroom was impressive and rather large. Looking from the outside of the Manor one would not think a room of this size would fit, but thanks to magic it did. Just off to the left was the area reserved for dining. The decorations were simple but elegant and as feminine in nature as his two over-zealous advisers could get away with. On the right side of the ballroom there were a number of overly large french doors which opened on a courtyard decked out for the winter weather and spelled so that the temperature would be comfortable to walk in without a cloak but yet would not melt the snow.

This time Kingsley had been able to doge the job of greeting guests, instead he was in the rather big ballroom. He smiled and greeted the people who came up to him, congratulating him on his birthday. He would have been much happier with a small family gathering, but he would have to wait for tomorrow night when he would have dinner with them. When he was alone once more he shifted a bit, yet again uncomfortable. The outfit was nothing more than normal, he was use to wearing suits, but the shoes. He hated new shoes. He had not been allowed to break them in properly and could already feel the blisters forming.

Hestia was grateful to get a break finally. She had been here for eight hours already and had another four to go - assuming there wasn't a last minute emergency right before she left. Which there probably would be, she thought with a sigh as she stirred some honey into her tea. Hestia worked on the first floor - in the Creature-Induced Injuries department - which was often very busy, particularly on full moon nights and the day after.

She sat down at the table with her sandwich and her tea, planning to savour her break while she could. The door opened and Hestia looked up with a smile. "Hello Ginny," she greeted warmly, "how has your day been?"

Hestia liked Ginny a lot, and felt terrible for her and Harry now that this new Death Eater Reform Project had been introduced. At least she didn't have someone she was already in love with. She couldn't imagine the agony of having to watch your beloved marry someone else.
