Who: Ritchie & Rupert Giles
When: Tuesday, Week Seven - early morning
Where: Giles' condo after this
What: Early morning cartoons via DVR.

So maybe Tuesdays weren't the best of days to get up and go watch cartoons early in the morning, but Ritchie was free. The renovations were still coming along, even if it was... odd that some of thing things that broke in the building were replaced wtih at quickness that was more than a little disconcerting. He didn't look into it, though, just assumed it came with being an aid to Slayers and... vampires, so to speak.

Ritchie was still wrapping his head about it, but it was eight in the morning and he was still sleepy. Taking a break from waking up at five to get to work was starting to get to him. His hair was askew as he walked up to Giles' door just dressed in his normal Simpson's pajamas and Homer slippers. He knocked on the door, trying not to be too loud as he did it.

"Giles?"

Week Change: Week Eight

Week Change: WEEK EIGHT
Monday Dec. 6th - Sunday Dec. 12th 2004

Moon Phases
Saturday the 11th is the night of the New Moon, making Wednesday through Friday the nights of the Dark Moon. This has been said to be a time of great power. Dark Moon energies are those of the Spirit without a particular goal in mind. Open up to the Spirit energies & remember that we do not always know what is best for us. By opening yourself up in this way and freeing your mind of prejudices, you may receive grace, revelations, and power that you never even realized you needed. (Chaos magic is especially strong during the New Moon, due to the lack of goals and the unguided churning of the otherworld energies)

Incense: Myrrh
Crystals: Apache tear, obsidian, rainbow obsidian

In-Game Notes
from [info]rupert_giles

1) Hannukah begins this Wednesday. Please be aware that there may be lit menorahs and candles, and that the smoke could set off the smoke detectors if we are not all vigilant.

2) On behalf of everyone, we'd like to thank Buffy Summers for orchestrating the recent Christmas tree decorations. She's doing an excellent job of coordinating our Christmas holiday so far, and please feel free to offer your assistance if you wish to contribute!

3) Please continue to be on your guard. While there has not been a second surge of dark magic as there was last week, there are still many unexplained things going on that we must be wary of. Inform Angel, Wesley, Buffy, or myself of anything you notice that is out of the ordinary.

4) The public areas in the Pod are non-smoking; however, what you all do in your private rooms are none of our concern.

Out-of-Game Notes

1) The Cursed Clothing has been discovered by Ethan ([info]stay_and_gloat) but it hasn't been made widespread knowledge yet. Stay tuned for further developments.

2) CT III: The Search For Spike has yet to begin. There are rumors and rumblings that he has disappeared, but no one (other than Angel and Buffy) know for certain.

3) Please pay attention to any open threads; we have several new players and new characters looking for ways to get involved, and we all have to be ready to help.

4) As always, any thoughts, ideas, comments, gripes, etc, are welcomed.

AS ALWAYS, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR FRIENDS LIST

Who: Buffy & Dean
When: Week Eight, Monday; Night
Where: A bar/restaurant near the Pod
Status: Closed, but Active

At first, the time seemed to drag on forever, but as the time of her date--yes, Buffy Summers actually had a date--neared, she realized she wanted more and more time to make sure each strand of hair was perfectly barrel-curled. It was nearly seven when she had finally finished putting the last touches on her make-up, pressing her lips on a kleenex to dab off the extra.

She pulled a sweater on over her low-cut halter top, taking one last look at herself in the full-length mirror to make sure her black leather pants still looked good on her, before grabbing her purse. The very slight kiss Dean gave her before he left earlier was playing over and over in her mind, causing butterflies to appear all over again each time.

And oh god, she was so nervous, but also unbelievably excited because she knew he was feeling just as nervous and excited. Or she hoped, anyway. And really, it had been a million years since she went on a stereotypical date--if you could call a watcher and a slayer going on a date stereotypical--especially one where she didn't have to pretend she wasn't some super strong demon killing chick. She never thought she'd be able to completely be herself around anyone who wasn't, well, a vampire.

She made her way down to the lobby, avoiding the surprised looks she was getting from some of the younger slayers. She had really never been this dressed up before since most of them saw her in her sweats in the training room.

She stepped outside into the much cooler air, practically holding her breath until he arrived. It was the only way she could keep her heart from pounding a million beats a minute.
