Parker and Roxy
San Francisco International Airport and beyond
Early Afternoon
Parker arrives
Since the moment Parker told her she was coming Roxy had started having a bit of a bounce in her step. Hell, when she told her Roxy had bounced about her apartment making Thomas dive for cover and likely wonder if his temporary care-giver had lost her mind. In a sense she had, given how deliriously happy she was with the news that her sister was coming out to San Francisco with the intention of moving there for good. It had been far too long, more than a couple years, since they had lived in the same place and Roxy was looking forward to having her close again.
Of course it really had been all on her that they hadn't been together in so long. After quitting school she could have gone to New York to be with her, but instead she had gone off on her own. Maybe she needed the time to herself, to get out all that wildness and rage that had been under her skin since their mother died, maybe she needed to put distance between herself and the pain of their old life. Whatever it was it seemed like she was finally starting to settle down, likely due in no small part to Parker's less than subtle hints that she should 'get her shit together'. And she was making an effort now, she had a real job, a place to live and a man to keep her distracted from every other person who happened to look at her twice, she only hoped Parker would see that she was indeed trying.
Once the plane arrived and the passengers began to disembark Roxy's nervous energy flared up again and she started rocking back and forth from heel to toe as she waited, eyes scanning the crowd coming through the open door way. How she wasn't bouncing now she didn't know, but when she spotted her sister she let out a chirp and rushed to hug her, nearly tackling the older, taller woman with her excitement. "Parker!"
