"Pleeease, you say that now," Parker laughed as they waited for the cab, though she knew her sister had always been the better fighter. She wanted to protect her hands for her art, that was the excuse she usually used, but it was true to a degree. Art was one of the most important things in her life, it was her escape from everything.
Once they got into the cab, Parker leaned over and clapped her hands in a summoning fashion. "Okay, pictures of opera boy, let me see if he passes the first test," she said, though looks really were the last thing on her mind for anyone. She liked people based on personalities alone. Her last boyfriend had been a great guy who'd been burnt as a child and it had never bothered her. In fact, she genuinely missed him when he went back to England.
"Good, I like being embarrassing, it's the best part of being a big sister," she said to her. "And good, your time is mine, lady. We need to reconnect and be sisterly and all that good shit."
