"You are awesome." she agreed then ate the last of her sandwich before grabbing another. "I meant more that you were close enough to slap me, but who knows, maybe you'll need a slap at some point even if it's unlikely." Parker always seemed the more sensible one to her. The better one, though she often thought that she did the same things as she did but was either better at not getting caught or simply had a better talent for discretion. In any case she was good to have around because not many could get away with slapping Roxy, really it was only Parker, and sometimes Roxy needed a good smack to keep her head on straight.
"I almost ran all the way to you a few months ago. I got involved in some local shit I shouldn't have and it was hard to be alone and to have nothing. But I think it taught me something about the way I had been living and how I was lucky that something worse hadn't happened to me yet." she shrugged. "I don't know why it took so long. You'd think that after what happened to Momma the last thing I'd want is to be left alone."
