"I don't know. My head was screwed up for a while, I wasn't being very sensible about the whole thing. I had to stop by the HQ of this group called Aegis, the reason why isn't important, I was just there one afternoon." She was not going to mention Abel's hand in all of it, she didn't want to think about how her sister would have reacted to that little truth. It wouldn't have been pretty either, especially when her sister actually met him. "I run into this cute little teeny-bopper, Kaylee. We get to talking and she tells me about how she's under guard because of some shit her older brother is mixed up in. She looks and talks like she's really unhappy so I suggest we go out for a drink and a smoke at a little tavern not too far from the HQ, that we could have our fun and be back before anyone missed us. We had to make a break for it because she was being watched but we get there and it looks like everything is gonna be okay, at least until some other Aegis asshole shows up."
She let out a slow sigh, "He sort of crawled into our heads. I could feel it, he forced his way into our brains and bent us to his will, made us desire him. I couldn't even lift a hand to strike him, I couldn't do anything, just what he willed as I had to suffer feeling him in my mind and under my skin. I... I felt so, I don't know, violated, helpless. Someone injected me with something and I woke up in a cell I couldn't break out of. Eventually somebody came and let me out, admonished me, hoped I had learned my lesson. The days after were rough, but I think that if I didn't have a silly job interview to go to I might not have been able to pull myself together so quickly. I probably would have run to you and ended up utterly useless for a while."
