Amalgaverse High

The mall is always a bustling place, especially with a high school full of teenagers in town. Also, with Halloween approaching, you can bet there's lot of people hunting for the perfect costume. Because of this, you can expect the Halloween stores to be open, of course.

God, children. Socialize! Make friends! ...or enemies, whichever.

It's just not been Wesker's week. Or month, for that matter. Saying he's been 'under the weather' is a pretty big understatement and most days he looks like death warmed over. That still doesn't stop him from attending school since he does have grades and gossip to attend to.

Maybe he should've taken some time off to rest and recuperate though.

This fine school day finds Wesker in the boys' locker room, sweating like he's been in a sauna for a couple hours straight, his hair matted down to his head in a very unstylish manner. Somewhere along the way he's ripped off his shirt and discarded his jeans, too hot and uncomfortable to tolerate anything more than the red boxer-briefs he wears.

Hunched over on a bench, he cradles his feverish head in his hands, his jaw clenched as he grits his teeth together. Something on his back, some cluster of muscle perhaps, twitches erratically and he hisses in pain.

Now, let's be honest, gathering the known hunter kids and meeting up in the library once a week wasn't Mr Flynn's idea. Hell, it shouldn't have been anyone's idea. But once Poe started to realize there were other kids from hunter families in the school, well, she thought it might be a good idea to get together and share information. More safety in a group, right?

Poe picked the library not because Mr. Flynn might know something about anything (because she doesn't know WHAT he knows, just that he knows SOMETHING), but because it was quiet and she knew it was protected (she's capable of picking a lock, but nothing has been able to get her into the library after hours). Aside from that, no one would say anything about some little club meeting in a location practically no one else goes to.

This week, however, seems to have Poe in a bit of a paranoid state. Something very, very strange has been going on around town and even in the confines of the school walls. October has brought something nasty along with it and there's definitely some things that need to be brought up. Specifically, what is up with some teacher and student's faces? Mr. Crowley's dog, too!

Because of this, she's chosen to show up ahead of the others to scope out Mr. Flynn's situation.

This is not a private thread, by the way. Mainly, the hunter kids that know of this 'club' get together and gossip. HOWEVER, the library IS a public venue in the school and anyone can show up or even interrupt their discussion. That's part of the fun, after all!

Where do the cool kids hang out after school? The mall, obviously. But not that lowly, trashy mall. This is the fancy mall on the rich side of town. The one with stores that carry shit like Coach bags and Jimmy Choo shoes and things no normal person should ever need. Anyone who's not willing to drop a few hundred on something you can get from the regular mall should...probably go to the regular mall.

Of course Wesker would be shopping here. Step foot in that gross, commoner mall? Not a damn chance. He's making his way through what little crowds there are, chatting on his cell phone, while in his other hand he's got a couple bags from some of the clothing stores. His next destination? That fancy boutique up ahead.

Fancy /indeed/. It even has personal shoppers so all the rich, snooty people who shop there don't need to lift a finger. And they get the added bonus of bossing people around. Excellent. One of those poor saps who does your shopping for you is Maxwell, and he's jsut finished clocking in, heading up to the register to wait around until called upon to be a glorified slave. Fun!

With the onset of autumn comes all the usual fall signs: leaves changing color, the weather cooling down and shorter days. This October, however, brings something else with it. The early evenings seem darker, the shadows seem more sinister and each and every person in town notices a peculiar change.

Supernatural creatures are the first affected by these subtle changes. Were-creatures seem more irritable, snapping at friends about small things like cranky children. Vampires of all sorts seem to notice that something's not quite right about being out during the day, their eyes hurt in the sunlight and they seem hungrier. Normal food fills the lucky few half-bloods less and less.

Demons are not even exempt from these changes. Even the tiniest bits of salt are a hassle. When demons could once easily eat lunch and normal food, the task is near painful now. Metahumans (both psychic-, mental- and physical-based) are also slightly affected in a variety of manners relating to their abilities.

Feel free to continue with Homecoming shenanigans. This is simply being posted so folks can be aware of the Halloween plot that will be going on until November. This is, of course, the initial post and more will be made to detail out what exactly is going on. For now, take note of what type your character is because everyone will be affected somehow in this plot, so it gives a lot of opportunity for characters who haven't had anything going on yet!
