Alchemy

Hey everyone. I want to thank all of you who've reached out to me on AIM or texts the past week/few days. I do not know who knows or just knows that I took off without warning, but I do want to sincerely apologize to each and every one of you for bailing without saying anything.

Unfortunately, I flew back to Florida last week to be with my mom, who is .. not doing well. I know that I owe many of you tags, replies, plots, and that it has been quite some time since I've posted at all or been present in chat. When I found out about my mother, it was very touch-and-go and I did not know if I would be traveling back or not, so when I received the call last week, I went without question. I know that I shouldn't have left anyone hanging in threads, but my head has not been in the space for anything past refusing to acknowledge much and reciting Buffyverse dialogue as a distraction.

I'm headed back to NC soon, once things wrap up here. I'm posting this now so that one, you have an idea of why I've been absent/awful at being an online presence; two, so that I can let you know how I plan to start replying; and three, to ask that you uh, just don't mention this. I really do appreciate kind words and knowing that someone is there, but I am unfortunately not a person who responds well to "condolences" of any sort, so I ask that instead of messaging me anything of the like, that we just both ignore the elephant in the room :P I'm dealing how I can. Promise.

On the note of number two, replying: I am going to be posting one more reply in all of my open threads as of right now, but to basically end them/wrap them up so that they can close. I'm doing this because I honestly got myself involved in way too many at once and with everything else, know that I won't be able to do much of anything with any of them without feeling like I'm drowning again, lol. So please don't take my ending post to them personal - I'd love to continue MORE threads, but I have to limit myself. This is me admitting I have a problem. :3

I love you all dearly and am so very thankful that you're in this game, that you're here, that you're making a mark on this world we've all made together. <3 I'll be back in NC this week, most likely Thursday/Friday, and that should be when I'm back on AIM/available for chats/skype/whatever you'll have me for.

Hey everyone, Jared here!

This is Felix, one more Cain in the mix that is Necromancy. I've been meaning to intro him, but wanted to get a feel for him before I did so. He's a little bookworm that is riddled with anxiety, and prefers the comfort of books to people. He's nervous around the other families because he doesn't know what all they can do, or if they can be trusted; he also knows that because of his particular brand of magic, others have a formed bias about him. He's going to try his best to make Mina and his parents proud, but knows that he'll really have to work for it in order to conquer his fear of new people.

I'd love to work out some lines for him. He's excited to be in the mix with his family (wassup Cains), but I'd love it if he could have a new friend that would encourage him to break out of his shell. The more friends, the better off Felix will be!

Hey there everyone! My name is Jared, but I go by Mookie/Mook - it's what I've went by since I was little, and even when I started role playing years (and years.. and years..) ago, and it's stuck. This joker is Zachary Byrne. He's an evoker, newly appointed (some would say he had it thrust upon him) Head of his family, and a Libra. He's got a mischievous past, and is notoriously known for ill-timed jokes, flirtations, getting under people's skin, and feigning innocence.

Zach is in search of his two siblings. He has two: a younger brother, and another younger brother/sister. He's protective of them to a fault, though he perhaps has a slightly better relationship with his youngest sibling because he always viewed them as the baby of the family. He and his brother get along, but because of Zach's ability to get himself into good AND bad situations, his brother had a more watchful eye on him growing up. I'd love for these two characters to be filled before making way for cousins, but if you have ideas for any of them, I'd love to hear them. Family means a lot to the Byrnes, including the extension - for example, Evocation and Enchantment are very close because of the sisterly-bond Evelyn Ward and Alison Byrne have had since they were young. Evocation has always backed Enchantment because of this, and it's because of that relationship that they have more of a kinship with those that sided with the Wards during the fall.

I'm also searching for other people to play Zach against. I'd love to discuss possible lines with you and your characters, so if you have an idea, please let's discuss it! I'm shamelessly searching for a man to play Zach against, somewhat flirtatious and antagonistic at first. I can't let the trope die, it seems. The line for that can be found here - I'm open to suggestions! (Is my mic broken? Whoops!)

I'm not on AIM much because I always forget to pull it up, but my sn is below. If you need any help with the lore of the storyline or the mechanics, please let me know!
