WHAT: aimless walking in the park

Aimee decided she needed to try to get a feel for her surroundings of her new town and she had set off for a walk around town to try to familiarize herself with something, anything. She currently found herself trudging slowly through the park, admiring the trees, trying to decide if any of them were climbable when she realized her legs were actually getting kind of tired and she decided to take a break. She spotted a tree she could actually climb up into and pulled herself up to sit on a sturdy branch, her back against the bit of the tree that was behind her.
Digging around in her purse, Aimee pulled out a pack of cigarettes and flipped the box top open. Rather than pulling out a regular cigarette, she pulled out one that she'd hand rolled. Or, that's what she'd tell people if anyone saw her and asked, anyway. She fished around for another moment in her purse before finally pulling out her lighter, lighting the end of the joint and taking that lovely first drag. "I'm gonna run out soon, I definitely gotta find someone that can connect me around here." She mumbled to herself, closing her eyes and resting her head against the tree. |

Who: Todd and Kaden
What: Catching up, asking advice, etc.
Where: Kaden's house, Unit #29
When: Friday evening
Ever since his visit to Seth's rehab facility, Todd had been feeling extremely on edge. Not everything was related to the visit, of course, even if it had been somewhat emotionally draining. Plenty of Todd's stress came from school, where he continued to fall behind on the reading courtesy of his learning disability, and work, where he saw all kinds of upsetting things, depending on what day it was and what kind of crimes were being committed. He was just stressed out, and since Seth wasn't around to make him forget all about it, Todd realized he really needed to vent to someone who knew him well, and could give reasonably good advice.
With that thought in mind, Todd abandoned his reading for his CyberCrime class on the arm of the couch in his living room, put on his coat and a pair of boots that would hold up well against the ice still on the ground outside, and headed over to Kaden's house with the hope of catching up with his buddy. Though it was only 9 doors from his own, Todd still found the distance to be too long for these cold temperatures, and when he knocked on the younger man's front door, he was shivering and bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet to keep warm. |
