Who: All residents of Lake Flannery!
What: The Christmas Social
When: 8pm - 10pm
Where: The Clubhouse
Mod note: Feel free to jump in at any of the locations posted in the comments and narrate what your character is up to and whether they're enjoying themselves. The more random the scene, the better - everyone in this community knows each other on some level, and this is a good chance to find out how they get along!

Welcome to the annual Christmas Social!

Thus read the banner at the entrance to the clubhouse on Saturday night when the guests began to arrive. Despite Eric DeFelice's worst and most terrible fears that the evening would be a disaster, there were no signs of tragedy or collapse anywhere in the room. There were icicle lights hanging from the walls and ceiling as planned, and though the elderly cooks had been true to their word and stayed at home and in hospital, the smell of mouth-watering food wafted through the air nonetheless. As promised, the basketball courts were open for those wishing to play a quick game or shoot a few casual hoops, and the auditorium had been converted to a dance floor, complete with a DJ found at the last minute and tinsel and streamers all over every table. Red and green balloons hung in a net up by the ceiling preparing to be released later on in the evening.

Christmas had come to Lake Flannery, and God willing, the evening would go off without a hitch.
