Who: Violet and Stella Blackwood What: Violet needs some big sister time. When: Friday night (3/27/09) Where: Violet's house Rating: Probably PG-13 at the highest. Violet's got a mouth on her. Status: Closed/Incomplete
In the two months that Stella had been in Lake Flannery, Violet had barely seen her sister. She insisted that it was her own personal choice, that she didn't want her older sister bugging her to move on with her life, but if Violet was honest with herself, she would have realized that she was just pushing everyone away because she didn't know how else to deal with her grief over losing Derek. However, after talking with Rick online and finding out that he had been standing right there when Derek was killed, Violet felt like she was on the edge of a breakdown. Never before had she considered the implications of possibly meeting someone who had been with her beloved fiance on that day, mainly because she never expected to see any of them after the funeral. Shutting her laptop, she pushed herself up out of her desk chair and grabbed her phone out of her purse.
Sighing to herself, Violet raked her fingers back through her long, dark hair and quickly tapped out a text message to her older sister: "Hey, Stella... can you come over soon? Love, Violet." Knowing her sister had the tendency to be a worrier, she hoped that Stella would respond soon. Much as she hated to admit it, she really did need someone to talk to, and who better to rely on than her big sister? Prior to this whole mess, the two of them had been pretty close, and of her four siblings, Stella was the most sympathetic. Phone in hand, she walked into the living room and sat down heavily on the couch, idly flipping through the channels on her TV as she waited for a response from her sister.
