Anyone have any suggestions for a good place to live?
Somewhere not New York.

You're Invited!
Come one, come all, to the Saturnalia Ball!
When: December 17th.
Where: The Cathedral In NYC.
Who: Anyone and everyone... so long as you're legal.
What: Saturnalia!
Not a celebrant of Saturnalia? Who cares. It's a reason to party! And who doesn't like a party this time of year? There will be food. there will be drinking. There will be entertainment.
But there's a catch!
Saturnalia is marked with Role-Reversal... And so everyone must show in costume. Not just any costume - a costume depicting something that is your opposite. Masters may come as servants! Men can come as women! If you're particularly extraordinary, come dressed as a normal Joe! Whatever you like, so long as it's something you're not.
Come, have fun, and enjoy yourselves in this lovely world we've been given. |

My therapist guy disappeared. Not my fault, this one.
Teja, in the spirit of... probably irony, I think this would be a grand time to go out. That is, if you're up for it.

I'm feeling decidedly more generous today. Angel, make your way back to the suite. I have something for you. A few somethings.
Lady Kakia, Lady Adikia, I do remember the pair of you mentioning a party for the nights of Saturnalia? And I never bothered to offer my help. I'd like to remedy that, if you'd accept.
And... well, fuck it. Anyone else have a deep, dirty wish they're looking to get fulfilled? I'm in a giving mood. It doesn't happen often. Speak now, or forever wish you did. |

Hello everyone. I'm Dr. Norah Skinner and I thought I'd offer up my services since I no longer have the job I once had.
I'm a board certified psychiatrist specializing in both behavioral therapy and cognitive therapy. I've worked with all types of people. If you need someone to talk to, or think you might like to talk to me, here's my phone number [insert]
Or of course you can write a private message to me here. Since we have these portkey things, I can pretty much come to you wherever you live if that's easiest. |

So Mr. Crowley made me realize what time of year it was, and how much I absolutely adore the winter holiday season.
It starts with American Thanksgiving, which as far as I've ever been able to determine is an excuse to indulge in gluttony without being sneered at by friends and family. The VERY NEXT DAY is Black Friday, which is the beginning of the greed of the christmas season. After that, we've got weeks and weeks of greed and rage as people fight over parking spaces at the mall, and that One Must Have Toy - I don't know what it is this year, but anything that causes so much avarice I'm a fan of.
During this time we've also holiday parties all over the place, and if they're good parties they result in drunken debauchery. There's blasphemy and apostasy galore, as people ignore the so called reason-for-the-season, or fulfill their so called religious duty as a diehard C&E church goer.
There's despair when presents are opened and the things little hearts yearned for aren't there, and covet the gifts of others. We've Christmas feasts and holiday parties all over the place, leading to more gluttony and debauchery, and it's ended with New Years eve... where anything goes.
It helps that my favourite real holiday, Saturnalia, takes place in there too.
Maybe I will throw a party... |
