I am bored. And the problem with me being bored is that I can't just train or whatever like most of you other mutants or supers or witches can do. It'd be awesome if I could fly or be like superstrong or blow things up. But I can see and manipulate emotions, to a point. Woot. They should call me Ms. Rainbow.

It's amazing what you can do with a week, a bit of paint, a box of tools and a good idea. The little old cafe that I fell into owning's a proper tea shop now, friendly and relaxing like they're supposed to be, not all high-strung tile and chrome like it used to be.
Nice little place, at [address in London] and besides the cafe up front, I do readings in the back, I'll read tea leaves, palms, even tarot if that's your style. Just come on by whenever, don't keep the most regular of hours anyway. |

Oh wow! I have magic. Like, for real. I just ignited my bed in holy fire. By magic! ..Which is kind of a problem because I don't have any spells to put it out. Holy fire is only supposed to last ten seconds and go out on it's own, but it really isn't. I can't believe I have magic for real!

There. Finished my homework.
So...school was not as horrible as I feared, though there will be some desperate catch-up work on my part. I am glad Algebra seems to be the same in this world. It was a comfort to work on something so familiar. I think the teacher was surprised that I did so well.
I found the Religion class to be interesting, though puzzling in its traditions, and History was very intriguing.
Unfortunately, I kept getting lost. I was late to several classes, but I was given mercy since it was the first day of school. I completely lost track of what class I needed to be in when, but ended the day in the right place, fortunately.
I think, so far, that I shall like school. Even more if I can stick to the timetable. I need a timepiece, I think.
Mother has been ill for some time. I have been making her rest at night and warming up soup for her. It is rather nice to know where she is for a change. |
