02:03 pm [essaybee] [Link]	Fusion #1 Completed (Links Updated) Over on the old Scans Daily site, I posted a NSFW erotic parody of JLU known as the "Great Scott Saga." (It was composed of 4 parts: "Great Scott," "Fool Me Once . . ." "Birds of a Feather," and "Hell or High Water.") Although I'm still working on "Hell or High Water," I've also started working on an original comic series called Fusion. I posted a 7-page preview of Fusion a few months ago and got lots of good feedback. Well, I've finished the first issue and will post it here. I've corrected a few errors on the first 7 pages and tweaked the text on page 2 slightly since that initial preview post, thanks in part to the comments I've gotten here and on other forums. Now that this first issue is done, I'm gonna work on finishing my NSFW Great Scott Saga and start Issue 2 of Fusion (which is pretty much scripted already). Hope you folks enjoy the comic! 10:43 am [zegas] [Link]	DC & Marvel samples Inspired by a recent back-and-forth I had with fellow Johnny Go aka “thehefner” on LJ, I've decided to take a trip down memory lane and embarrass myself in the process. For the first time and quite possibly for the last, I'm posting some of the comic book samples I created in hopes of becoming a professional cartoonist well over a decade ago. Just thinking about the process makes me cringe but in retrospect, these crude examples yield amusing results. This is uncommon fare for s_d, but I thought it’d be amusing at the very least. Chalk it up to decade old fan art. Tons of scans of the source material behind the cut. All of you probably recognize Warren's EMPOWERED---in the latest "chapter" of the webcomic THE CROSSOVERLORD, we pay homage to one of the most famous comic covers at all--- while cameoing a zillion webcomic superhero-oriented characters, and several non-webcomic superheroic charactes to boot! Well, I've started my first original comic titled "Fusion" (which is SFW, by the way), and thought I'd post the initial preview here. 10:20 pm [addude] [Link]	Tempus Fugit: A Comic for Geeks Alright Everyone this is my first post so be kind with the mistake unless I should correct them soon I made an online comic comic and I thought you guys might be interested Well the comic is in it's early issues but here what you can expect: time travel, giant roaches,Bird like aliens, agatha christie, immortals, super powers,a terribly sung musical number sung while giant robots attack (oddly enough the song will not be Mister Roboto), explosion and trench coats. Also a great many geek refrences, especially star wars refrences. Long-time reader, first-time poster (but I've had my work posted at your predecessor scans_daily before -- pages from a zombie book called Dead Eyes Open, which holds the dubious honour of being the only scans_daily post that actually made people vomit at their desk)... and I thought I'd share some preview scans from an upcoming comic I've been working on -- Captain Blood from SLG. It's an adaptation of the novel by Rafael Sabatini; I'm doing the script adaptation and Mike Shoyket (recently of Tron) is on art.
