[Osborn Estate, Log]
Who: Jason, Gwen, the Doc (and, eventually, Harry)
What: Being paranoid
Where: The Osborn Estate
When: Nowish / In-progress
Warnings/Rating: TBD
The Osborn Estate was huge. Hidden behind wrought iron and set away from the road, there was a an attendant at the gate, security, and visitors had to be on the list and announced. Gwen had, earlier that morning, let the gatekeeper know that Jason Todd would be visiting. Later, she'd added Bruce Banner's name to the list. It never occurred to her to ask permission for the visitors to come, and maybe that was a result of the mild sedatives that were currently keeping her from turning the Estate's roof into a swimming pool without warning. She informed the gatekeeper that her visitors would probably require transportation down the long and winding road to the house proper.
The grounds were dotted with security, all seemingly harmless staff members that saw to even the smallest whim. Security cameras were tucked away inconspicuously, and visitors were led (by those same staff members) to the home's large and opulent sitting room. The room was away from the family's private sleeping areas, and it was impersonal and made for entertaining. It boasted multiple couches and a large fireplace that crackled. The servants offered refreshments, and then seemed to blend into the walls, almost not there at all.
Gwen was already there, in the sitting room, dozing on one of the couches. She'd been there since her last comment to Doctor Banner. Dressed in a grey pleated skirt and a pale blue shirt, her hair held back in a headband, she looked deceptively harmless in slumber.
She didn't hear the visitors being announced, but the toddler that was currently having an elaborate tea party in the middle of the sitting room did hear. A dolly tucked under each arm and a pink dress to her knees, Emily ran into the foyer, the little princess of the house, golden-blonde hair and blue eyes bright with curiosity. She had the Osborn smile, and she giggled at the opening door before shyly tucking herself behind an entry table.
