Re: Osborn Estate: Jason/Gwen/Bruce + Harry
Gwen was off her feet and on the couch before she even really realized what had happened. The sedation didn't stop what she could do, but it certainly made her reaction time slower. Her hand was on Doctor Banner's shoulder, a wad of fabric from his shirt between her fingers. She looked at the floor while it flooded. She looked up when Jason yanked Harry to safety. Really, it was Harry's cursing that she reacted to, a slow blink of cornflower blue eyes.
"I don't know how!" she insisted when he told her to stop it. Putting things back never worked right, especially when she was actively trying to make it happen. She didn't have any active control of this; it was all tied to her emotional responses, and she didn't know how to make her brain figure in.
"I don't know how!" she repeated, panic in her voice. And panic was never, never, never a good thing.
Emily's little feet smacked on the stairs, and they could be heard crossing the long expanse of marble hall. The little girl kept repeating Harry's name, singsong, and the water begin to seep beneath the door.
