Re: Osborn Estate: Jason/Gwen/Bruce + Harry
Gwen had returned to the sitting room after Doctor Banner and Jason had gone. She'd sat there, pink teacup in her hand, and she'd focused on changing aspects of it. Thus far, her ability hadn't used any mental capacity, not that she was consciously aware of. It had only been subconscious reaction to emotion, but the fact that she'd managed to return the room to some semblance of itself at Doctor Banner's request, that meant she could possibly control this, and it was the best hope she'd had since she woke up in the hospital after the pulse.
The teacup, which had turned itself from pink to yellow, melted in her palm when Harry entered the room. She watched it as the plastic dripped between her fingers and onto the oriental carpet. She wanted to go to him, to tell him he was beautiful, to apologize. But she didn't know what the logical and best course of action was, so she waited. She picked plastic from between her fingers as if it was wax, and then she set the pile of teacup remains on the sidetable as he poured the drink.
She noticed his shaking hands, and she stood. "Let me do that," she suggested, reaching for the decanter, even as he began to ask his questions.
"I wanted to reassure them that I was safe here, Harry. That was all. I didn't want them worrying. Doctor Banner is gunshy of experimental testing, and Jason is just protective."
She reached out a hand and touched his arm. "Don't be angry with me. You look too tired to waste the required energy to be angry."
