Re: Osborn Estate: Jason/Gwen/Bruce + Harry
Bruce glanced over to Jason after the sedation comment concerned him, but Gwen's explanation was solid enough. "I used to try to do the same thing, in the beginning. I actually worked on a serum at one point that was supposed to slow someone's heartbeat down to one beat per minute. When someone reacts to things that drastically, it's a necessary step." And he knew Gwen didn't want to hurt anyone, not like him. It didn't need to be said that the sedation and the serum did nothing for him. Clearly they were useless. If it helped Gwen during this process, he had to accept it. He didn't like it.
He smiled again at Emily, watching her do each teacup, and at Jason too for offering to take her out. It was the small things that made a person's true character stand out. Whatever he'd been through, he was gentle with children. Likely with animals too. It made a difference.
Dark eyes went right back to Gwen. He frowned and shook his head, picking out a flashlight and checking her eyes. Like he mentioned, the readings were going to be all a little off since she's sedated. Necessary or not. But he was going to go through the motions regardless. He pulled out a blood pressure reader to put tightly around her upper arm. "I don't know if everything's okay. I'm worried. I can't start on calming him down while I'm not calm. I don't like this, Gwen." He'd already made his protests known. Now that he was in the house he was less nervous about being in any kind of danger himself. His paranoia was going to set everyone off, he had to work on that.
"Oscorp's personal agenda is not the one that's safest for you. I know you said you prefer that, but how do you know their tests aren't more focused on learning how to capitalize on your abilities, not cure them? The pulse came from them in the first place."
