Re: Osborn Estate: Jason/Gwen/Bruce + Harry
Gwen glanced toward the door, her attention drawn by the little girl's voice, panic growing with the realization that water was pouring beneath the door. But Doctor Banner's hands on her arms made her look at him. Look, he said look, and she looked. She breathed, but her attention shifted to the door once more, and it was only the recitation that got her attention. And, all things considered, it was a very way to get Gwen Stacy's attention.
"Magnesium."
And the water disappeared, and magnesium powder took its place. She'd been reading a book about old photography, and magnesium power was used to create the spark for flash, and the water became that powder. Highly explosive, but still on the strangely dry floor, and the electricity didn't set it off, not yet, though there were moments of flash and crackle throughout the room, climbing up the walls, as if they were electrified themselves.
And still, Emily giggled, almost at the sitting room door now. Gwen tried to remember how flammable magnesium was, but the information just wouldn't come. She panicked, and the door disappeared entirely, replaced by a smooth wall, and now the only exit was the gaping windows.
From beyond the newly-smooth wall, the little girl cried at being denied playtime.
