Re: Osborn Estate: Jason/Gwen/Bruce + Harry
Bruce remembered Jason vaguely from the other guy's memory, although he was in a suit there. Otherwise he looked exactly like what he expected. And he saw the way Jason looked around sharply, seeing the guards and the mansion in a way similar to Bruce's justified paranoia. Except Bruce looked for ways to run without changing. He would always find a way to run instead of changing. It felt better having Jason there. Despite everyone's warnings, Bruce was leaning toward assuming this would be a simple enough meeting. Unless they needed to get Gwen out.
The little girl surprised him a great deal, but he was quick to smile at her. He liked children. Now he had an invested interest in this not going poorly. There was a child in the area. He tried not to let that into his mind right now. She looked familiar, and since he'd never met Harry or Norman or seen them, he wasn't sure why. But seeing her next to Gwen, well, that put a piece in the puzzle. He set it on the back burner in my mind. For now he took the empty cup of tea from her. "Thank you, Emily."
He brought his travel bag of medical instruments, so he could check Gwen's vitals, and her permission made him move over to her. He set the 'tea' down carefully on the nearby table, as if it really was filled with it. Sedation for the powers. Or sedation to keep her pliable. Maybe both. He sat down on the other side of her. "The sedation's going to throw the readings off." But he could pick up on them from there.
"I'm not sure we should speak freely around her." He had his stethoscope out. It wasn't meant as a dismissal to the little girl, more that she might not be exposed to the super powers and discussion they needed to have. That could be the intention.
