It was probably very generous to call Jim a cat, but 'demon beast with glowing eyes and fog coming out of its arse' was a touch lengthy. Evan wasn't really sure why Daisy seemed so hysteric over Jim's existence. Sure, sure, his eyes glowed red and he sometimes had smoke surrounding him, but in general there were many good things about Jim. He seemed to have a job, not that Evan was too sure what it was, but sometimes Jim just disappeared and reappeared hours later. Sometimes he even had money on him. Who was Evan to question such a creature, really? Jim liked raw, preferably bloody beef, which Evan wasn't too happy about but it was probably better than if Jim was into Daisy's ludicrously expensive chocolate shit. She'd probably hate him even more then, which would be inconvenient.
Today was Evan's day off. He tried to allocate one day a week for downtime, because as much as he enjoyed studying, Evan was reasonable enough to recognise that a break was necessary. He had a shift later in the evening at Sirius' place but it was only for a few hours behind the bar, which pretty much felt like downtime anyway, even when busy. So come midday, Evan had gotten a bit restless, as had Jim. Daisy was at work and Harry was still missing and Evan was just so very bored. So he decided that Astoria would have to do. He wasn't too sure when he had last seen the girl, so it was probably considered socially polite to visit. It might have been more socially polite to owl first and ask if he could visit, but Evan successfully managed to ignore that.
He had gotten to the top of the stairs where Astoria's flat was, when Evan looked down at Jim who had followed him there. "You might want to keep the arse fog in, mate, I don't think ladies find it particularly attractive," Evan informed the cat who looked less than impressed with the statement but its eyes went less glowing red, so he probably got the gist of it.
Evan rang the doorbell before knocking on the door as well. Just to be sure. Astoria was probably home. In the worst case scenario, Evan and Jim would have just taken a useless walk. When the door did finally open, Evan grinned. "Greengrass A., so pleased you're in, can we have tea?" He asked before pausing. "Well, you and I, Jim would probably prefer whiskey if you have any," the cat did seem to give a noise in agreement.
