Astoria went about setting the tea tray whilst waiting for the water too boil. She smiled sheepishly, her wariness around Jim was more obvious than she thought. Okay, so she didn't exactly try to hide it either. "What if I promised to at least try and be nice about him?" She could definitely manage that at least.
"Just some proofreading for one of the writers at the moment," she replied. It would certainly be considered the less thrilling of her two roles, and fortunately proofreading was probably one of the better jobs to get when being a writers' assistant. Much better than being the tea girl. "Oh yes, that went a lot better once the writer finally clarified what it was, amongst all the information, he was actually after. It was interesting reading though, if a little disturbing at times."
When the kettle started whistling she took it off the stove and poured the water into the teapot, before bringing the tray over to the table. "I hope you don't mind? I didn't want to chance asking how you took your tea and still get it wrong," she explained.
"Oh, almost forgot the water for Jim" she said, heading over to grab a bowl for Jim. "I'm trying not to be worried, but um Jim won't get into any of my stuff like my wardrobe or anything?"
