"Well, I haven't seen him sleep but he does also disappear for hours," Evan replied. Jim really did seem to do whatever it wanted, which Evan could respect. To be perfectly honest, he was just really happy that Jim had chosen him as a companion, because Evan liked Jim and he hadn't really ever had a pet that was his. Or been owned by a pet, which was probably more accurate. Nonetheless, Jim was alright, no matter what Daisy (or seemingly everyone else) thought. You really did get used to the glowing eyes.
At the mention of tea, Evan took another sip and grinned. "Tea is much appreciated," he informed Astoria. Evan did like tea, majority of his academic career was built on repeated drinking of tea. He never had been too great with coffee, which made him ridiculously hyper and for someone as restless as Evan, being even more hyper was never a good idea.
When Astoria mentioned Harry and the 'case of the missing Harry', Evan rolled his eyes. He loved his brother, really, as much as was socially expected to him, but in many respects Harry drove him nuts. Evan was never too sure why his brother mostly just made Evan sigh and roll his eyes, but on the more unkind days, Evan was convinced it was because Harry was just so vapid. "Harry's a fucking idiot," he replied finally. "No, we haven't heard from him. But realistically, I don't think he knows he's missing," and perhaps that was a bit mean but Evan had very little tolerance for the way his brother seemed to just... flow through the world. Shit just happened for Harry and it was both confusing and frustrating to Evan.
