Warnings: Extreme amount of handwaving in the beginning. I don't know what a god funeral ritual would be like but he does, so deal with it. Besides, no one could really respond during it even if I did know enough to write it out. Just assume it was creepy and dramatic. Also, scene in process.

Alana had gotten the news about her boss, and about the funeral that was soon coming up. She still didn't know exactly how to react to any of it though, and the stress of work wasn't any help. She'd probably spent a day alone giving basic training to a temp just to try to lighten the load until she could hire someone. Because the temp? Not going to cut it. It was that simple.

But today was Saturday, her phone was off, and there was no way Alana could stand another few hours thinking about work. She needed an emotional break. So grabbing leash, and Pirate grabbing his favorite ball, the two headed out for some free time, walking and playing and being normal. For the secretary turned boss, it didn't matter much where they ended up, just as long as she didn't have to deal with cleaning up anyone's crap but Pirate's.

It was the Sunday of a long weekend, and to Alana, that meant that you had a party. A barbecue. A celebration. So, she was doing just that. She had no idea how many people would show, so all of the beer and pop and booze and food was stuff that she would eat herself -- and with Herk there, that wasn't an issue -- just in decent quantities. She was also using it as an excuse to play with some drinks that she hadn't done for herself before. While outside was deck chairs, a cooler with cans and bottles, and the grill itself, inside was the bar and stereo system.

Low key and mellow, but still a good time. A mojito in hand, Alana plopped herself down into a chair near Tannia as Pirate explored feet, searching for some dropped burger.

Summary: Hades, D and Apollo hatch a rescue plot. They get Persephone out, but just barely. Ironically, that's when all Hell breaks loose.

Summary: Hades was taking in a quiet moment while the rest of his house were taking a walk, but then Dionysus showed up wanting to talk about Persephone.

Summary: D agrees to be Apollo's canvas for an artistic experiment, and they discuss the looming threat of Apollo's first semester of Medical School. Then they go hop in the shower. Heh heh.
