Who: Dionysus and Apollo
What: NYE celebration!
Where: O Canada
When: New Years Eve
Warnings: Drunken debauchery
Dionysus grinned, already feeling peppy as people began to get inebriated in celebration as early as noon that day. New Years Eve always gave him a big pick-me-up in power levels. He was full of excited energy as he examined himself in the hotel room mirror. When he was sure that he looked good, he spared a look for his beau.
Apollo hadn't spent a lot of time considering his wardrobe for the evening; it hadn't been anything special that afternoon, and it was less so after he'd napped in it. Mostly he'd tried to decide what event could be considered his 'New Years Eve'.
He hadn't come up with anything.
"Not bad," he commented, offering D a thumbs up from his spot on the bed.
D turned himself around so that he could fully eye his brother--who despite not being dressed up, looked completely doable (or maybe that was the rampant, hot hedonism running through every inch of D talking). The poor fellow looked like he was thinking too much, and Dionysus for his part was having a hard time holding any thoughts in his head. By the end of the night, impulses would take over and he'd be a hard boyfriend to live with.
Unless...he made Apollo happy too. He'd done it before.
He grinned impishly, crawling onto a corner of the bed.
Actually, he'd stopped serious thinking about the time he'd fallen asleep, and when he'd woken up all he'd been concerned with was remembering where he'd put his wallet.
The look on D's face was a little worrying though. "Dare I ask what you're thinking about?"
"We're gonna play drunk tag," D informed his adorably worried brother. His teeth pulled into a predatory smirk. "If I catch you, you're going to have a very good night..." Afterall, Apollo had been so happy last year until that whole Subrosa power snaffu.
"Do I have to start out being drunk, or are cocktails like extra lives?" Even as he said it, he inched away from D. It was a pathetic head start, really, but you had to take every advantage you could and run with it.
"Well like most people, you're cuter when you're blitzed," D remarked, crawling towards Apollo--fully ready to pounce. He slid a hand along the bedsheets while singing out the theme to Jaws.
"Dun dun. Duuuuun dun."
"Uh-huh. Unfortunately I don't do sealife." He slid off the bed and backed towards the bathroom, sparing a brief thought to ducking out into the hall. Not that he wanted to kill the party, of course, but...
Damn it, D should have to work for it!
Bwahahaha gods didn't work for what they wanted! Dionysus sprang, soaring through the air and toppling the blond. He was careful not to rough Apollo up too much on the bathroom tile.
"Gotcha," he murmured, running a maddening finger in a straight line down Apollo's forehead, along the bridge of his nose and over his lips. "Happy New Years Eve~"
Ow. Someone else would have probably busted a limb in that fall; lucky for D he wasn't with anyone else. Still, Apollo pouted at him.
"No fair! You cheated!" Whine~
"Did not~" D cooed, kissing his boyfriend briefly. "Just because I'm stronger and faster and possibly better doesn't mean I cheated."
POUT! "You are not." At least, he liked to think that D wasn't better than him. On the best days he actually believed it. Those were good days. Kiss~
D grinned into the kiss, tugging Apollo up with him as their lips stayed on each other. He gave his brother an extra little push of drunken encouragement, just to be certain that they'd both be at peak partying ability for the night.
Whee~ He slid his arms around D's neck and held on, tilting his head to nuzzle his brother's ear. "You have to promise me~ something~" Just a little one.
"Oh?" D murmured, enjoying all the touching and the affection immensely. He was willing to promise almost anything--to a point.
"You have to promise you won't leave me behind~" That would be sad, wouldn't it? And he really didn't feel like being sad again until they went back to Miami; the place had a perptual black cloud over it, he was sure.
Oh? That was it? D laughed, pressing little kisses all along the side of Apollo's face. "I'd never leave you behind. You're mine. Silly man~" He patted the blond affectionately on the bottom. "Ready to go then?"
Yeah, well, when D started to party, he lost track of things. Sometimes. Maybe they should tie themselves together! Just to be sure. Or not. That might be awkward.
He clung to D's arm. "You aren't gonna make me change? Awesome. S'why I love you~" Hee.
D grinned, proud as a peacock just then. While he knew his brother loved him, the words didn't always come out freely. To say he liked his brother better like this wouldn't have been fair--he liked pretty much anyone better when they were drunk. It had a lot to do with his control issues and needing to feel powerful.
"You look beautiful just the way you are..." He wasn't about to lose his brother tonight--unlike last year, he didn't have running a bar to worry about, so he would be enjoying all the night's fun alongside Apollo. He handed the blond his coat and grabbed his own before opening the room door. "After you, lover."
The irony was that, while Apollo frequently needed to hear he was loved, he somehow assumed that everyone just *knew* that he felt that way towards them. It was a horrible habit, but at least he was, sometimes, aware that he did it. Of course, it was easier to make up for it while he was sauced, since he was something of a sappy drunk, but...some day.
Apollo slipped on his coat, zipped it up, and then tugged D out into the hall. "Where to, hm?"
D whipped out his phone. "Hmm...first bar on the list is three blocks south of here." Because, really, who wanted to be out in this cold without a few drinks in them?
The crowd was happy but mellow when the wine god stepped in. He'd have to fix that. "See anybody you like?" he murmured to Apollo.
If the bar's patrons were left to their own devices, Apollo wondered, fleetingly, how long it would take them to reach that celebratory stage. Right now they seemed unaware that it was a holiday.
He glanced around, looking for anyone interesting, and then pointed to someone who was leaning over the bar; nice ass. "Oh. Wait. Ginger. Nevermind." Uhm...
"Indecisive huh?" Dionysus smirked, scanning the room for anybody interesting. There was a very bored looking but beautiful dark haired woman in a very nice outfit amidst a gaggle of girls. She looked like she was regretting her choice in outtings for the night. A grumpy gal for him to make gleeful--seemed a perfect match for tonight's extra cheery Apollo. He tugged his brother in that direction.
"Oops," he shouted, accidentally knocking into the woman's drink and spilling it onto her. She opened her mouth to tell D off when he slid a hand down her back, overwhelming her senses with a kind of madness. She giggled, pressing closer to him. "I'd love to see you with this one, honey," he cooed over his shoulder at Apollo.
Apollo had followed him to the bar, but, as he was easily distracted, had focused on the slightly harassed bartender who was almost running from one end to the other. Drop it. Drop it. Come on DROP IT...
Blink. He turned at the sound of D's voice, and peeked over the taller man's shoulder. "Say what now~?" Hugs!
"I was saying I'd love to see you with---what's your name?" The girl answered that it was Stacey, her face flush as D ran a hand over her ass. He tugged her a little further away from her friends. "I'd love to see you with Stacey."
"See me do what with her?" Which was probably a stupid question, but he felt compelled to ask. Maybe just for stalling. Either way, he ducked under D's arm and stood in front of Miss Stacey to get a better look. Hrm.
"I hear kissing is a good place to start--that sound good, Stacey?" She nodded dumbly. D smirked and ordered a few drinks at the bar. If the guy back there kept fumbling anymore, he was going to have to take matters into his own hands.
He took a step closer, leaned in, and then frowned thoughtfully. "I dunno, sweetheart; she just keeps staring at you. S'kinda off-putting." He waved his hand in front of her face. "Hello~?" Tch. Women.
Dionysus whispered something in Stacey's ear. She shivered before latching herself onto the tall blond. "Hey...I'm Stacey. What's your name?"
"Better?" D chuckled, grabbing two vodka tonics and placing one in Apollo's hand.
He took the drink and shot D a slightly sour look. Was that better? Ha ha ha? Ass.
After a few sips, he turned his attention to, er, his new friend; grabby little thing. "S'Elton~" Now come here and gimme a kiss~ Mm!
Dionysus laughed, when Apollo shot him that look. At least his brother was still cool enough to go along with things. D let out a happy little sigh, enjoying the sight. He was half tempted to turn the whole bar into an orgy, but for now, this was enough of a show. He sipped his drink, idly fondling Apollo's backside.
Mmm~ That? Was a lot better than the kiss, really. He broke it off to down the rest of his drink, and then carefully slid the glass back onto the bar. He wanted to ask her when the last time she'd kissed anyone was, but was at least aware enough to know that was the stupidest idea ever. Maybe it'd work better if he got her skirt up higher...
Dionysus was actually quite happy for Apollo. If you asked him his opinion on the matter, he thought his older brother didn't get out enough. Sleeping with the muses and him, that was nothing. A drop in the pond. The light god needed to expand his horizons and have some naughty, uncomfortable fun.
Hey. It was sort of like a compliment, you know? That they were the only ones good enough for him.
Still, the whole...drunken flings with strangers thing could be sort of entertaining. Certainly anyone he happened to get involved with wouldn't be regretting it later; like they could POSSIBLY do any better than *him*. Ha.
D leaned over, murmuring in Apollo's ear. "[Do you want to keep her? I was thinking of making a little collection for the night...we could leave her here or bring her to the next bar. Either way this place is dead...]"
It was frustrating. He kicked back the rest of his drink. Hopping over the bar, he began to dole out drinks. The poor befuddled bartender was ready to protest when Dionysus kissed him, sending him into the same mad state as Stacey. The two of them handed out free drinks to liven the place. "Don't forget to tip your bartender~" Dionysus chirped as she hopped back over the bar, rejoining Apollo. "[Thoughts?]"
Apollo untangled himself from the woman and looked her over again. He supposed she wasn't that bad, really. Hm. "[We can take her along, I guess. Can't hurt, yeah?]" Hee. She'd probably end up across town and when she sobered up she'd have no idea how it happened. It was funny to think about.
Yeah, he was a little mean.
"[Exactly.]" Dionysus had that same bit of meanness in him too. He figured if they got bored with her, they could always leave her in a different bar.
D grinned, kissing Stacey and then giving Apollo a more searing kiss. "Okay, let's blow this popsicle stand!"
The night was still young, and there was still so much crazy fun to be had.
Summary: Apollo lets Dionysus have fun with him on his most special of holidays.
