Empire Ants

An attempt was made to fix the horrific lighting and colour grading on this episode. It worked really well in some scenes and... alright in others. But I tried, and that counts for something. Right?

The lighting and colouring on this show are nightmares. But hey, here's one more planned set finally tackled.


( Usually, you have more of a flourish to it. )

I'm not exactly thrilled with how some of these came out, if I'm being honest. But considering the hot mess of colouring and lighting in these scenes - no, seriously - I gave up on aiming for perfection and just aimed for might possibly be usable.


( But, seriously, what is with this guy and the Mad Hatter? )

Honestly, I just needed something to do and a little break from the pressure I put on myself to make requested sets as good as possible. Quick, simple, and inspired by my renewed interest in Shadowhunters. Ignore that I forgot to tune some of the colour channels in one scene and ended up with a purple shirt where there should be a blue one.

So, here's the thing: I need Will Tudor without runes for a character, but I need the general look and emotional range from his role in Shadowhunters. The solution? Photoshop the crap out of my previous set! So, in case you ever thought you'd love to use Will in this role if only he didn't have the giant neck tattoo, your wishes have been granted. And if not... Well, hey, I still feel accomplished.

These use bases from hollow-art by users Lilium and Erchomai from episodes 2.11, 2.12, and 2.14. Just ignore the slight wonkiness on some of them. I did my best.

Finally, I've gotten around to making a better quality set of Nicola Correia-Damude in Shadowhunters 3.03! Unlike the previous version, this one comes from a full set of hq screencaps. The colouring came out a bit different, but I think I like these better; I got rid of the ashen appearance. Feel free to choose whichever you prefer, though, since I don't have any intentions of deleting the old set.

Alright, so, this set is a little bit inconsistent since I had to grab the stills from all over the internet. At the time, none of the sites I use for Shadowhunters had 3x03 caps posted and I only needed a few for a character who uses Nicola as a pb. So, here we go. I haven't the foggiest idea what's going on because I haven't watched S3 yet, but this hairstyle is so pretty on her.

Matt Daddario in Shadowhunters 2.15: A Problem of Memory. I feel like I keep saying this, but seriously the colours and lighting are a nightmare to work with on this show - particularly with the second season. But what can I say? I have an Alec muse and I wanted to make a few icons of the opening scene in this episode. Then it became a real set, and here it is.

Contains some icons featuring Izzy and Magnus and the back of Jace's head.

The lighting on this show is consistently a nightmare, but holy hell 1.10: This World Inverted was an extra pain in the ass. I've done what I could to normalize the colours so they look less dreamy without messing up skintones, but some scenes just couldn't be completely helped. There's only so much a person can do to negate blue and pink strobe lights, after all.
