Empire Ants

This is a remake of a previous set that I over-pink-ened (which is now a word, deal with it) when trying to emphasize Toni's hair. I wasn't able to get all of them perfect, if only because she was directly under pink lighting in a few, but I think I did a decent job making the lighting better and the pink in her hair pop without an "everything is in a pink filter" look.


( Wait, I’m confused, is this real or are we playing a game? )

I hate working with Riverdale's lighting and colour grading so fucking much, I legit put this set on hold for nearly two years to avoid having to edit the images. Then I made myself finally tackle the project today... and it essentially took over my entire day and destroyed everything I actually planned to do. But at least I'm done with it, ugh!


( People have already seen what's underneath, and it's terrifying. )

Have some more of Jon Whitesell, whose face intrigues me. Most of these come from his Instagram with some at the end from varied sources. There's probably some duplicates in here along with several from his various roles on television.


( Who needs subtlety, right? )

This all began with a random photo my parabatai found wherein Betty's hair looked blue from the lighting. Her Betty happens to be in a relationship with my Toni, which means this line of thinking kinda spiralled out of control and became Betty should dye her hair. But where were we going to find blue-haired icons? Exactly. Thus, I volunteered faster than Katniss when Prim was reaped and these icons were born.

It only took like a week of hand-painting the hair (and occasionally shirts/makeup) and individually adjusting the lighting on some of my previous icon sets to create these. This is a thing sane people do... right?

He makes Fangs look so incredibly short, but nope. He's just an incredibly tall 6'3" standing near someone who's 5'10". Also, here's my obligatory fuck the lighting on Riverdale remark.

I do not recommend trying to icon Riverdale if you enjoy being a sane human. What were they thinking when lighting and colour-grading this show?!

Sorry if any of these are grainy or overly brightened. I run my laptop on lowest brightness and tried to turn it up a few times to check these icons but it just made my eyes hurt.

This is a ridiculously small set, but the expressions were too good to discard.

Here's hoping you're all having a better 2020: The Sequel 2021 than I am, 'cause ngl mine is not off to a great start.

I didn't wanna throw out screencaps that were iconnable while I was digging for Jughead in this episode. So, have some icons of Joaquin in Riverdale 3.06: Manhunter.

The less said about my pure hatred for the related plotline, the better, but heads up that there's a few icons of a dead character who's been branded with a cult-like sigil.

You know, if they'd filmed Jon solely from his right side, I'd almost believe his character was a teenager. (Is he supposed to be one? I mean, he's at the school and hanging with the other teenagers, so I presume he is.)
