Empire Ants

An attempt was made to fix the horrific lighting and colour grading on this episode. It worked really well in some scenes and... alright in others. But I tried, and that counts for something. Right?

The lighting and colouring on this show are nightmares. But hey, here's one more planned set finally tackled.


( Usually, you have more of a flourish to it. )

I rushed through these while unable to sleep. Honestly can't tell if I got the colours and sharpness off in some, or my eyes are just hella tired.

Also, not sure why I picked the two eps I did, but apparently the Debs icons also used them so I guess those were the albums I visited back in the day. The world may never know... or care.


( Sometimes we get so wrapped up in getting what we want, that we forget to ask ourselves why we wanted it in the first place. )

Some of these look too bright, others don't look bright enough, and they all looked perfectly fine when I was making them. Idek anymore.

I had a rough time trying to make these look right and I'm kind of in a quitting mood lately so I settled on close enough for most of them. Hopefully I still managed to land somewhere in the ballpark of "actually worth using."

I hate working with Riverdale's lighting and colour grading so fucking much, I legit put this set on hold for nearly two years to avoid having to edit the images. Then I made myself finally tackle the project today... and it essentially took over my entire day and destroyed everything I actually planned to do. But at least I'm done with it, ugh!


( People have already seen what's underneath, and it's terrifying. )

Leather jackets and motorcycles... Honestly, what more could you possibly want?

The end of this one is going to be really confusing for people who haven't seen the show, and that amuses me more than it should. Also, the lighting is terrible but I gave up giving a shit after fighting it for a day and a half. Don't blame me, blame the show's lighting department... okay, and my intense need to counteract yellow or overly warm lighting everywhere I see it.

I was so confused when suddenly Mariana was blonde, but she's adorable either way so... I iconned it.

Season four is ridiculously intense and makes it kinda difficult to side-focus on iconning while watching. Aka: I'm full of excuses why my pipe dream of making and posting one set of icons per day this entire month died in a fire.
