Who: Buffy & Dean
When: Week Eight, Monday; Night
Where: A bar/restaurant near the Pod
Status: Closed, but Active

At first, the time seemed to drag on forever, but as the time of her date--yes, Buffy Summers actually had a date--neared, she realized she wanted more and more time to make sure each strand of hair was perfectly barrel-curled. It was nearly seven when she had finally finished putting the last touches on her make-up, pressing her lips on a kleenex to dab off the extra.

She pulled a sweater on over her low-cut halter top, taking one last look at herself in the full-length mirror to make sure her black leather pants still looked good on her, before grabbing her purse. The very slight kiss Dean gave her before he left earlier was playing over and over in her mind, causing butterflies to appear all over again each time.

And oh god, she was so nervous, but also unbelievably excited because she knew he was feeling just as nervous and excited. Or she hoped, anyway. And really, it had been a million years since she went on a stereotypical date--if you could call a watcher and a slayer going on a date stereotypical--especially one where she didn't have to pretend she wasn't some super strong demon killing chick. She never thought she'd be able to completely be herself around anyone who wasn't, well, a vampire.

She made her way down to the lobby, avoiding the surprised looks she was getting from some of the younger slayers. She had really never been this dressed up before since most of them saw her in her sweats in the training room.

She stepped outside into the much cooler air, practically holding her breath until he arrived. It was the only way she could keep her heart from pounding a million beats a minute.

Who: Beth Holden & (OPEN)
When: Week Seven, Saturday afternoon
What: Beth brings back the Christmas tree
Where: Pod Lobby

The tree farm's flatbed had just dropped off the Christmas tree, and the delivery man and driver had forklifted it into the lobby. Beth was carefully sawing through the twine that had kept the branches flat for transport, and the new extra-large tree stand was already put together and waiting for the trunk although she imagined she was gonna need a little help maneuvering the twelve foot tree upright.

But, one step at a time. First, twine. Second, branch-fluffing. Third, she'd twist a few arms and recruit a few "volunteers" to help her stand the tree up.

Decoration was not her bag, though.

Who: Buffy Summers & Dean Petrado
Where: Pod Lobby/Common Area
When: Week Six, Saturday
Status: Closed & Finished

Buffy was taking everyone's advice, albeit rather reluctantly, and spending a lot more time wandering the Pod and doing the mingling thing, instead of being holed up in her room. She had spent more time in the training room working with the other slayers. And had even ventured to the library to do some research amongst other people.

But, right now, she was taking a break after having her nose in one of Giles' books for the majority of the morning. She was sipping on a cup of hot chocolate, flipping through a gossip magazine near the window, when she spotted a man she didn't recognize--and boy, there were a lot of those--wandering the lobby in bewilderment. She peeked her head over the top of her magazine, glancing around to see if anyone else was here to greet the newcomer.

After waiting a few minutes to see if someone would come to his aid, she set her magazine and cup down, smoothing her shirt as she crossed over the room to him. She stuck her hand out, a smile coming into her features as she said, "Hi, can I help you? I'm Buffy Summers."

She knew that no one would ever step foot into the Pod, unless they had a specific purpose or knew of what they did. So, this guy--who, she noticed as she met his eyes was what she would stereotypically describe as ruggedly handsome, much to her personal delight--had to be either a watcher or someone else hired to help out with their mission.

Who: Beth Holden, Buffy Summers
What: Bumping into each other
When: Week Five, Day Six
Where: training area, the Pod
Status: Closed but Active

Beth had always done well with knives, so long as she didn't actually have to throw them. Skinning a carcass? No problem. Slitting a demon's throat and bleeding it? Also not a problem. Cutting particular organs out? Again, not a problem.

Throwing a knife and hitting a target? That's where Beth's problem lay.

Elena had suggested she find something physically taxing to exhaust herself during the day, and combine the tiredness from that with the herbal potion Giles had been handing out to help push the Slayer dreams to the back of her mind. So far, it had been working, although today's exercise--working on knife-throwing--was not getting her anything except frustrated.

Growling, she walked up to the target and yanked out the four knives she'd been using, and carried them back to the throw line. Someone had been smart enough to put up a couple of glass enclosures so no knives went astray in the throwing, but even so, Beth looked both ways before taking the knife by the blade and tossing it at the bulls-eye, which was hidden by a crudely drawn face with a shock of blond hair and a pair of uneven fangs.

That had been Tabby's suggestion; make the target someone you didn't like too much, and it'd make the practice fun. Of course, not as much fun as it would've been actually stabbing Spike in the face, but it was enough fun to balance out the frustration. Three more knives flew in quick succession, but none of them were hitting between the eyes. Maybe she should've started with some of the smaller knives, but the Bowie and the skinning knives were the ones she was most comfortable with, so that's what she'd started with.

Who: Giles and Buffy
What: Bonding with his Slayer
When: Week Five, Day One
Where: the Pod
Status: Closed but Active

Giles had his hands full. There were four stacks of case files in his briefcase, at least half of them files on some of the newer Slayers who were having the worst of the dreams. The rest were research that he'd dug up, the recipe he'd found for the dream-dulling potion and how it works, and, lastly, a weeks' worth of the potion for Buffy in case she was having the dreams as well.

He also had a thermos of hot tea and a thermos of hot coffee, because he knew Buffy preferred coffee and he preferred tea. Lastly, he had a small present for Buffy, because he knew she'd been quite anti-social lately, and he wanted her to know that she was still first to someone and always would be.

Making sure everything was safely tucked into the briefcase, he knocked on Buffy's door and cleared his throat. "Buffy? It's Giles, I'd like to see you." Another cough. "Make sure you're all right."

Um, I know I'm new to this whole Slayer gig, but has anyone else had some really creepy dreams lately? As in like, a shack walking around on chicken legs? Or people dancing around a fire? There's also sometimes blood, and what looks like really sharp animal teeth taking chomps out of bloody chunks of flesh.

Possibly it's a hint to be laying off the zombie movies before bedtime, but they got real vivid this week. And they're... relatively unpleasant, to say the least.
