Who: Rogue and Kurt
What: Running into each other
When: Afternoon
Where: Prison yard
Warnings: Probably none
Rogue huffed and carefully put aside the book she had attempted to read. She thought it would be a good distraction for a couple of hours but she continually found herself on a different page with no idea about what had happened in the last one. It was a useless effort, there was no way she'd be able to muster up enough concentration to do some actual reading and that didn't leave her with too many options. She eventually figured she could take a walk around the prison yard and use the time to think up of a place she wanted to visit with Logan once the research team came up with a cure for the virus. They had to come up with a cure for Lorna's sake and all the others that had gotten infected so far and for the people that might get infected. She swallowed at the thought. She didn't really want to dwell on that.
Sliding on a coat and scarf, Rogue walked out of her cell and made a beeline outside. The air was chilly but she simply pulled her coat tighter around herself as she started on her usual path around the prison yard. Coming up with an idea of where to travel ended up being a little harder than she thought. She didn't know which places were still worth visiting. It had to be a place with an amazing view so that the trip would be worth the trouble. Soon, she was lost in her thoughts with only the occasional sound of a gun firing at a zombie from one of the towers distracting her for a brief moment.
Another gun went off and Rogue glanced up, the corner of her lips tugging up in a small smile when she noticed Kurt. He was only a few feet ahead of her and she hadn't had the chance to talk to him since the last fitting before the Halloween party. She hadn't been avoiding him, not exactly, but she couldn't deny that she hadn't sought him out either. He had forgiven her but he didn't know that putting him in a coma had only been a small part of what she'd done to him. He had no idea that she absorbed some of his memories and after the fact she'd dreamed about them in vivid detail. She honestly didn't know whether to keep that to herself or tell him. Either way, though, she couldn't avoid him forever.
"Hey," Rogue called out as she sped up her pace to catch up to him.
