Who: Steve, Maria, Glory and later Alec
What: Captain America vs. A Hell God
When: now
Warnings: extreme ass kicking.
Where: Wilderness
Bruce was gone. Clint had his brother in town and wanted to kill him. Faith had to make a judgement call that Alec forced her into because Steve had failed to protect Emily. He'd failed to reach Alec when he thought he was making head way with the kid. They'd had their discussion after what happened with Emily, and while he'd made his point with fists, he wondered if the words registered more. Who knew? Alec was impossible to read. There was a Hell God in town wanting to reclaim her kingdom. There seemed to be a problem around every corner, and Steve was having a hell of a time figuring out where to begin fixing it.
If Hulk was close by, he'd think they would know. The Other Guy, as Bruce liked to call him, wasn't one for being quiet about his presence. If Bruce was around...he wasn't sure. He'd read the documents given to him by SHIELD, but a file rarely told you what you needed to know. It didn't flesh out personalities right. Maria would know best, and Steve was worried about her. It had been evident they had become very close, so this had to be particularly hard on her. Steve needed and wanted to check in on her and offer to do another walk through the wilderness just in case Bruce was out there to be found.
He left the cabin he and Bucky were sharing, and headed out toward the trailer where Maria was staying. Bucky had been keeping a close eye on Barton and Natasha since the arrival of the Original vampires so he didn't need to explain where he was headed. They trusted each other to handle their six, and to get in touch if needed. Steve didn't want to drag him away from protecting the prison and the people inside. If a hard judgment call needed to be made, he trusted that Bucky could make it without hesitation. The air was cold despite it being in the day, but the sun wasn't getting through the light dusting of snow and the thick brush of trees. He walked quickly and with purpose, but his eyes continuously scanned his surroundings. Ever since Alec got the drop on him, he was in high alert mode.
Once he reached the trailer, he knocked and waited for an answer. Eyes still scanning the area, ready to launch into motion at any sign of trouble.
