Once she was gone, Alec was next to Steve, looking him over. "Dude, you look like shit," he muttered, his hands hovering over him. His eyes were barely open and Alec sighed. Alright. So maybe Jondy was right. He hated when she was right because he knew she'd have that need to rub this shit in his face.
"Don't cry." Reaching for him, he lifted him up easily, a shift of pain for him that woke him up. He held onto him and without another thought, Alec moved like a blur through the snow, back to the projects. He got him in his old apartment he was kinda occupying at the moment, thanks to Jondy and set him on the bed. Steve's face looked alright, but his breath was ragged, he groaned back in pain, but he could tell his body was healing. Alec gave him a long hard look before disappearing into the kitchen, grabbing the things he needed to even begin to fix his friend. Friend. Whatever he was. There were only a handful of people that he'd go out on a limb for, Steve being one of them. The others? Max, Rebekah and Jondy - believe it or not. Didn't matter if she was a bitch because best believe, Alec could be a dick on more than one occasion, but it just goes with it. You get over it and move on. Just cause she had a stick up her ass and kicked him out didn't mean Alec would let her die. He was a dick not a douche.
Alec returned with rags, water, alcohol that would probably have no effect on him, but whatever. What's a little whiskey - or a bottle to take the edge off. He set everything down but the rags and shoved them in his mouth. "Bite down on it," he said before shifting his arm back in the socket. He took the rag out and tossed it aside, noticing the blood on it, but he didn't say anything.
