Dance Practice |

Who: Penny & Shashi Where: Shashi's flat, London What: A bit of dancing, a bit of chatting, Penny calls Shashi out about his job When: Saturday, Sept 26 2009, 4pm Status: Thread, completed
Penelope rang the buzzer to Shashi's flat at precisely 4 o'clock, dressed casually, but with the dress Miranda had designed and made safely in a garment bag that was draped over her arm. Her shoulder bag had enough toiletries so she could transform into a ballroom beauty later today and it seemed easiest to just do it at Shashi's, as opposed to going back to her flat and then meeting up with Shashi again.
There was a nervous flutter in her stomach as she waited for the MI7 agent and she wondered if turning this information over to Charlie would earn his trust. Forcing away the memory of Charlie, she took a deep breath as she waited for Shashi. |

Two for tea |
[Sep. 16th, 2009|09:13 pm] |
Who: Astoria Warrington and Juliet Orfanos What: Ladies having tea and gossip When: Wednesday afternoon, 16 September Where: Redbridge House, London Warnings: None expected. Status: Closed (possibly open to Chris), incomplete.
Tea at Redbridge House had always been a formal occasion, with a lovely tea service that had come from Greengrass Manor and the good silver that Chris's parents had given Chris and Astoria at their wedding. The little tiered plate held scones and jam and madeleines made according to the recipe that the Greengrass house elves had used when Astoria was little. Tea was an Earl Grey that Astoria's father had loved for many years. The rituals and the scents and tastes were all that was home to Astoria.
Hosting tea again was a pleasure, and on her days off, she indulged herself with the ladies of her class who remained, and sometimes the gentlemen. Today it was Aunt Juliet who had done her the favour of pouring. She no longer needed Juliet to refill her cup nor to hand her scones; her physical recovery from her ordeal was complete. And for all that she didn't use her wand to summon things as often as she might, she now displayed a certain facility with it that she had lacked when she first obtained it.
It was not quite like holding court on a pleasant weekend afternoon before the war, but it was no longer entirely unlike those days either. |

Who: Minerva McGonagall and Percy Weasley What: Wizarding educational initiatives When: September 14, 2009 Where: Ministry Annex One Warnings: Very likely none Status: Incomplete
She looked much more like the former Headmistress of Hogwarts now, rather than a half-starved, exhausted exile, wearing plain dark robes and a tartan scarf around her neck. It wasn't that cold, but Minerva felt faintly chilled nonetheless. Age, perhaps. Or awareness of her own mortality.
She presented herself at Ministry Annex One at the appointed time and was directed to the Minister's office. |

Who: Cho Chang and Percy Weasley What: In which Cho's future employment with the Ministry is discussed. When: Saturday, 12 September 2009 Where: Casey's Cantrip, Dublin Warnings: Cho's language, if that. Status: Incomplete
With Marietta's help, Cho was able to pinpoint the elusive Casey's Cantrip quite easily and safely. She also had Marietta to thank for the subdued, dark-blue robes she was wearing: the wizarding equivalent of the navy-blue interview suit. Marietta had done a brilliant job adjusting them where needed, but Cho still felt uncomfortable in the clothes, so strange after years of Muggle casual wear. She had the constant feeling that they were riding up in the backâthey weren't, but it was similar to that feeling one sometimes got wearing tights, that the things were going to fall off any minute now.
Ignoring her discomfort, she made her way into Casey's and looked around for Percy. |

Who: Augustus Pye and Michael Corner What: Being social on the lunch break. When: Tuesday noon time, September 8 Where: Ollivander's. Warnings: Likely innuendo. Status: Incomplete, threading.
Walking up to the door of Ollivander's, Gus shifted the bags so that he could open the door. It still felt weird to walk into the store now. The door felt far too big, but then he'd grown quite a bit since he got his first wand. Rapping his knuckles against the door as he pushed it open, he couldn't help smiling a bit stupidly as he looked around the shop.
"Michael? You down here? I brought Indian, as promised," he called out. |

who: Penelope Clearwater & Percy Weasley When: Tuesday, 25 August 2009, 9pm Where: Ministry Annex one What:Discussion of the Minister's pet projects Status:Incomplete warnings: none
After work, Penelope had a series of meetings, followed by some errands to run, including signing up for self-defence and martial arts classes in East Ham. She had stopped home only to grab her files before apparating into Diagon Alley. Parliamentary recess meant a slightly relaxed dress code, but considering that Timms was holding open hours in East Ham, it meant Penny was still dressed in a suit with her hair pinned up, though threatening to fall due to the late hour. Knocking on Percy's office, she balanced her attache case of files and the tupperware container of sandwiches. |

Who: Oliver Wood and Penelope Clearwater What: self-defence lessons When: Thursday Aug 13, 8pm Where: the Quidditch pitch Warnings: TBD Status: Closed/incomplete
Oliver got to the pitch a little before eight and hopped onto his broom to take a few laps and clear his head before Penny arrived. He started slowly and got faster with each lap, little more than a blur until he broke suddenly out of the ellipse that was the stadium to loop around the set of rings closest to the entrance.
Man and broom both were weaving in and around the rings as the hour struck eight. |

Open house at the clinic |
[Aug. 10th, 2009|11:13 am] |
Who: Adrian Pucey, Gus Pye, and a cast of thousands What: Open house for first day at the clinic When: 9 AM, Monday 10 August Where: The new clinic at 129B Diagon Alley Warnings: Should be pretty tame Status: OPEN, incomplete.
Adrian and Gus had worked like madmen over the weekend and late into Sunday night to finalise the preparations for the clinic opening. It seemed to Adrian that the only break he'd taken for days was Mass on Sunday morning. Now, a bit bleary-eyed but well caffeinated with tea, he and Gus were waiting to see what the patient load would be like.
There was a sign on the street and balloons to show anyone who needed to find the clinic where the staircase up was. In the waiting room, there were comfortable couches and a coffee table with a cake baked by Flitchy sitting on it, ready for the Healers to serve to their littlest patients and their parents. There was also a tea service set up for patients and Healers alike.
At precisely 8:59, Adrian turned to Gus and said, "Here goes nothing," as he unlocked the door and flipped the sign on it with his wand. The clinic was officially open. |
