Who: Penelope Clearwater and Neville Longbottom What: Neville and Penny go out for dinner before the Ministry meeting. Where: The Cluricaun's Get, a leprechaun joint in wizarding London When: Tuesday, May 26 Rating: Probably low but you just never know in these seedy leprechaun diners.
"When I was younger, my Gran never wanted me to eat in these places," Neville told Penny as he opened the door for her. "Aye, but did you ever hear about that scandal in the 80s? There was some sort of ruckus because a group of leprechauns were caught serving up pixie meat and passing it off as hamburger." He clucked his tongue. "Though if you ever met one, it ought not to surprise you, really."
They stepped inside the restaurant, entering through a doorway so small that Neville had to swipe his head down to move in. The ceiling itself hung only a few inches over both their heads, faintly glittering stars twinkling and casting dim light across both their faces.
"If you see the rainbow," Neville told her. "The appetizers are free." He led her into a corner of small booths, the tables obviously built for much smaller people. The pair of them fit in comfortably, sliding into the quietest corner that he could find. The din of a birthday party could be heard in the far corner and he pushed a menu over to her, his eyes dancing across the restaurant. |

[May. 25th, 2009|12:40 pm] |
As part of the Wireless' efforts to support the wizarding cause, we'll be starting a series profiling various wizards and witches of Britain. The first wizard to be profiled and interviewed will be Mr. Neville Longbottom. Nominations and suggestions for other wizards and witches can be sent via owl to the Wireless post box in Diagon Alley or via the magical journals to myself.
In efforts to expand our broadcast services and offer more programming, the wireless is pleased to announce the opening of another position on its staff. Inquiries should be directed to my attention via journal or owl. |

Drawing New Lines |
[May. 25th, 2009|09:02 pm] |
WHO: Theo Nott and Neville Longbottom WHAT: Someone has to forge a new world. WHERE: Smithfield Market, London WHEN: Early May, 2009
Smithfield Market was growing comfortable, even if it wasn't Neville's first choice for the dawn hour. He yawned a little sleepily as he rested a carafe of coffee and a pair of chipped cups on an old concrete block and waited for Theo's arrival. The steam rose into the chill of the morning as he poured himself a cup and began to drink it down, relishing the harsh, sharp taste of the coffee, stronger than it should have been. The crows were circling overhead but he could not tell what it was that they kept swooping down over, cries cracking air.
( You want to hearts-and-minds them. ) |
