* Magician. Of the bumbling variety.
* Helped the last unicorn (of the book's title) find the rest of her kind.
* Didn't age for, like, seventy years. It's a long story, but to sum up: it was a spell, which was broken when the unicorn quest ended. He's aging again.
* Wiser than he usually lets on.
* Genuinely nice guy, but prone to thinking that he knows best.
