I know its stupid and I know he's dealing with a lot, I know he suffered a whole different level of...

I just don't know how to help him.

And apparently two of my supposed best friends think taking him away from his wife and kid on his first night out of the pit is the way to go.

Normally, right now, there'd be witchcraft and feeding people their own entrails.  I'm being classy.

Anyone elses people acting off? I mean I guess its the Cage, we don't even understand the damn thing

[Jo and Jules]

Have fun or whatever.

Perhaps you would but there is far more than that.

Yes. I did. They deal in their own ways. They talk but they are not alright.

That if we don't stop Raphael it isn't over. That he and Dean can do more than my brothers thought.

What? Tell me so I can answer you. So I can explain myself. Because I'm tired of being judged

It'll take time I guess, for all of them.

Is that true? Is he a threat to us? More like what? He wants to tangle with another archangel

You turned on Juliet for Sam's action. She is dealing with as much as you are and you think I know little of compassion? You accused me of things- you believe I'd leave most of them to the cage based on what? You- he is Sam. He will do as he does. You haven't seen him for 2 weeks, he hasn't seen his home for 50 years. If he wants a beer it may not be a catastrophe. It may be... he needs something of this earth.

Yes. It's up to us to see they have it.

Yes. He is the last of them. He will want this over.

Yes.

But its me and Emily he needs. We're more important than a dammed beer. He hasn't seen us for 50 years.

He's not ready for that fight. You know that too

He has other needs. Everyone has other needs. I don't know why he did what he did but he has just come back from Lucifer's torment. Is it really the time to judge his actions harshly?

We're not fighting today.

I'm not judging. I just know him. And I know somethings not right.

You think he'll be ready any time soon. I am done with him being an archangel weapon. Done. You hear me?

He's been tortured for 50 years. No, something is not right. I don't know if it's that or something we missed but I do know, as for everyone who came back, his need is paramount. If he needs to go and eat with Juliet then shouldn't allowance be made?

Sam wishes to go. I don't wish it but he is entitled to make that choice.

He's decided he wants to stay with me. Which means I'll make sure he feels like he's home. Its better.

He doesn't know what he really wants yet.

Because eating with Juliet is so foreign? Perhaps.

I'm sure you'll tell him soon.

You have no idea

He wanted to eat with Jo and Juliet, you changed his mind because you wished him with you but he is damaged. Isn't it more important to be guided by what needs he expresses than what you think he should need? He is compromised. It's up to us to bend some for him even if it costs us.

I know what he needs. I offered a better alternative.

He can eat with them another night

He lost his will to Lucifer. You think not letting him be guided by it now will help him?

I'm giving it back to him. Trust me. I know what I'm doing

You can't give it back to him. It has to come from within. All it needs is room.

What do you mean? His will is his own. The only way you could give it back is if you took it away to begin with.

He's a Winchester. He doesn't need you to. He's already exerted his will. Or tried to. It was you to directed him to where you thought he should be. That is the opposite of cultivating his will.

Because you commented on his choice with displeasure?

And offered an alternative option. Not my fault he chose it

Perhaps try not to be displeased but to understand. He is shaken beyond what we can imagine. If some of his choices are odd isn't he allowed that?

Why does it have to be to anyone else's schedule? If his return is not how you envisioned does it matter if it soothes him?

There is an edge to him, a sharpness. Perhaps time and support will set it right.

Right now he is not the family man. He is the broken man. He cannot simply take up the place he had before as if he never left.
