[ooc: We are all going to pretend this post happened at like 2 am in Ireland even though its like 1pm something in Ireland. TIMEY WIMEY PEOPLE]

You know when you're on a haunted castle tour and listening to the guide prattle on and on about things that are supposed to make you all scared but hey you died at 17 and some things just aren't scary after that? And then somehow it went into wolf legends and how the Irish wolves were exterminated and then supposed wolf mating habits and I'm going how is this related to haunted castles????

The whole wolves mate for life thing is bullshit, right? Which, hey internet, being all 50/50 on this is so not helpful!

So. Inquiring minds possibly drank a whole lot of gin to get to this point.

Werewolves don't mate for life, right?

And then what’s even a mate?

I need to stop hanging out with werewolves. I’m like the little vampire who shouldn’t be. Like seriously, their bites kill. I'm a masochist. That has got to be the answer.

I need more gin.

Likely not.

Many things seem different between the worlds.

Our werewolves, they don't usually have happy lives. Their transformation alone, its barbaric

That seems to be something that is the same. The transformation is torture in my world.

I watched someone very dear to me do endure it enough times to know its not something I'd wish on my worst enemy.

Its not easy when you care for them. Knowing that happens every month, without fail

And the alternatives don't come without their price.

Alternatives?

Where I'm from werewolves can be turned into vampire-werewolf hybrids and they'll never have to change if they don't want to. It comes with this really annoying sire bond to the Original Hybrid though and they basically do whatever he wants them to do. Like build houses, find stuff, nearly kill their girlfriends, probably do laundry. I wouldn't be surprised if that's been one of them.

So no painful turning, but your free will is kinda shot.

So their options are painful forced turning on the moon or a life of slavery?

That's awful

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. And until Klaus stops being a four year old about it--YEAH I AM SAYING THAT HERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE--I'll keep advocating no hybrids. I mean, sure they should be grateful, but they could bake him a cake or something.

Is there a way to release them?

Can he do so?

They can break it. But its an even more painful process than turning just at the full moon.

I don't actually know if he can release them...but he could probably compel free will.

But I surmise that you don't believe he would do so willingly?

But perhaps you're right
