Given the number of vampires living here in the open, I thought it would be appropriate to get my own secret out in the open. I'm a vampire. I've been a vampire since long before I got here. I try to demonstrate responsibility, and I think I've done a good job of it. I know it's possible this might affect my employment at the medbay. It's okay if you don't trust me enough to let me work there. This just needed to be said.

You could say that. I'm a Slayer. Where I come from, it's my job to slay vampires. And demons. And so on, up to minor gods who are driving people crazy.

I know the Fright Night ones were bad, but where I'm from nothing happens to a person's character when they're turned. They're only as good or as bad as the humans out there. I drink blood, but I'm no killer.

If that's how you feel, then I'll tell you something. When I feel that vampire tingle along my spine, the one I worked so hard to develop because I've gotta tell you, I really sucked at it at first

When I feel that, I've got an instinctive desire to put a stake into the cause of that feeling.

See. Not secret at all. And it's been a long time since I worried about any vampire at all.

But I haven't killed any vampires here either, except some native ones.
