I get where you're coming from. I really do. When you decide that somebody needs to be killed, and when somebody else is chosen to be the executioner, that doesn't just effect the guy whose life is being taken away. I'm a soldier, I've taken a lot of lives for the sake of my country and I deal with some kind of guilt every day over what I did. At the same time, I know that it had to be done. There are people here who can do what needs to be done, without later being haunted by their actions.

If this guy is locked away, and if he somehow manages to escape, two weeks later or ten years later, he's going to go right back to doing what he does best. And then whoever decided to lock him away is going to feel really fucking guilty.

It's not worth it.
