Filtered against Ares, Livia, & the usual suspects.
There's nothing in the world that makes me angrier than watching someone with power abuse it.

If anyone needs fresh water or transport to a clean bathing area, I'll gladly take you where you need to go or bring you what you need to get by.

I'm so sorry you're being punished for something you're not responsible for.

There is a difference between punishment and a warning.

Seriously? I didn't do shit to him or this champion he was ranting about. I don't even know what the fuck he was talking about. Yet I just had to flee the fucking complex because of his last "warning". Seems like pretty shitty aim and a pretty shitty warning.

Warnings are rather frequently posted to the general public. It saves time, giving a single broad warning, rather than several individual ones as certain people need them.

I am sorry that it was something that sent you out of your home, and I am not saying I completely agree with the specific choices made, but given the many alternatives I'm sure Ares could have chosen, this was somewhat mild.

Written warnings are posted to the general public. Intimidation is usually aimed at the person or people intended. So you can stop patronizing now or we can just drop that entire line of discussion entirely.

Bullshit. "Oh, he could have done so much worse so I should just forgive him for shoving an addiction I'm struggling with in my face." Fuck that. I told him on his post earlier that his aim needed work. Apparently he didn't even bother to consider it. So yeah, sorry, no I'm not going to just shrug it off when he pulls that shit.

It was not my intention to patronize. I am not certain anyone would have heeded a written warning, in this case - and I believe one of those had already been issued, previously.

As I said, I am sorry that is was particularly worse for you, when you were not involved. If there is anything I can do to make the situation slightly less problematic, I would be happy to do so.

What's your point? He had the option of dealing with the people involved, written or otherwise. He decided to just fuck everyone over instead. There's no way to word that where it's okay.

Sure. I'll be a lot happier if you could stop trying to get people to excuse blatant dick-waving. Could you do that?

Whether or not it is 'okay' is a matter of opinion, evidently. One we differ on.

So it's okay that he shoved my addiction in my face and left me with no choice but to flee the complex and spend money I really can't afford to be spending on a motel for the night. It's okay that he did all this when I don't even know what the fuck is going on and never even so much as said word one to him or his champion.

In other words, you're a tremendous asshole. Got it.

You. Said it better than me. Intimidation =/= warning, anyway. It's a bully's way of whining.

Oh, I'm fine with intimidation as a warning, when you direct it at the people that need it. The problem here's the aim.

Oh, agreed. Personally, I think she had every right to be pissed off at those guys...she was actually trying to help, but mass intimidation when there's two responsible parties is kind of a dick move.

How about if he warns the responsible parties so he's not punishing those of us who've never even talked to his little girlfriend or whoever she is, Loki? Be fair.

A warning is a preemptive display meant to prevent future problems. Thus, a warning can still be applicable to everyone, regardless of whether they have done what is being warned against yet, or not.

I am being fair. I am also trying to keep him from reacting far more harshly. He is right to feel slighted, and allowing him this one display of power may prevent him from doing anything far worse, next time he is in a mood.

Thanks for the patronizing...I know what a warning is.

Uh...last time I checked it was just the newbie Avengers getting ol' girl's panties all in a bunch and that they were repeat offenders, barring the public outrage about her taking on a slave since that hardly counts, because, uh...fucking slavery. The only people he seems to be trying to warn seem to be the ones who care the least while the rest of us suffer for their actions.

So, excuse the hell out of me for thinking no, he really doesn't have the right and I really hope you're joking when you say you letting him is going to do anything other than give him justification to push boundaries later.

Evidently you did not.

He agreed to remain at peace with us as long as we did the same, and treated those he considers his own with respect. This was a public declaration. He felt it was being infringed upon. I am not in direct control of his methods. Personally, I would have done things differently, yes. But it is not my place to stop him as long as he is within the lines of the agreement we established - and he is.

Would you rather he continued to have a building frustration, until inevitably it became something far worse? He will not be pushing any boundaries. I will not allow it.

Uh...yeah, I do. It's not really a warning if its a follow up to a warning, which you've already said was established. But again, thanks for the condescension.

Uh, no, what I'm saying is, if he's got a problem with those two, then keep the fucking sand in the sandbox, Loki. Handle them and leave us out of it.

Multiple warnings are generally permitted, yes? Unless I am misunderstanding some aspect of the term's use here.

I am not directly responsible for his actions. I have tried to help you understand the motivation behind them, but evidently that is not something I am able to properly convey. Feel free to speak to Ares on the matter, if you feel so led.

When a warning has to be explained as such, it kind of misses it's point.

Diplomacy and war tend to go hand in hand....or they do when the person in question isn't using his power for his own amusements. Paige made a much better god of war

I have often found the warriors are more interested in the actual destructive side of things than in appropriate ways to convey a point without the use of weapons.

A warning is usually what happens before the punishment, right? In what way is poisoning water in this city not considered punishment?

It was not all the water available, merely that in the plumbing systems - and there are many, like yourself, who are capable of retrieving water for the others should a desperate need arise.

If it continues beyond the particular time he indicated, I will personally fix the problem. No one will be dying.

That water was never his to mess with. He had no right to interfere with anyone's way of living, let alone threaten them for something that they weren't involved in.

No, no one will be dying. You're not the only person defending these people, Loki, even if your current views on what's going on right now aren't all that promising.
